Unfinished Business (Side Quest)

After rescuing Taka, Yuna's brother, from Mongol's prison camp at Azamo Bay, I made a quick move to go back there to settle unfinished business. We've been sneaking our way in and out of Azamo Bay before, this time I am going back to claim that village and get rid of all the Mongol army that lives there.

The moment I left Archer's Rise, the rain started to fall. I never thought it would be a long way ahead. Riding my horse down the hill, follow the main road, gives me sense of adventure. I came across with a small group of bandits on my way, and defeating them took quite some time because they wearing sturdy armor. When I reached Azamo Foothills, I know that the prison cam Azama Bay was not that far already.

Azamo Foothills

Not far from Azamo Foothills, I heard people murmuring. From what I heard, they were planning to sneak into Azama Bay, and rescue their village's head and others. But they are afraid of dying because there are so many Mongol forces inside. I approached the man and started asking questions about it.

The man told me that the Mongols were starving and beating their elders. They were punishing them for a prisoner who escaped. Well, I didn't tell them that it was me who rescued the prisoner earlier. The man added that there's an opening in the fence by the main gate. That's my way in!

Refugee who trying to sneak in Azoma Bay

I'm happy to accept the quest. Although my initial plan was to attack in a wide open area, it seems that I cannot do that. Alarming the starving Mongol's guards will only trigger them to kill the elder which I don't want to happen.

So, I quickly searched for the opening on the fence that the man told me about. I found it. From my observation, it's the only way in. Lucky me to have found the man.

An opening enough to squeeze my body to get in

So my quest list was to free villagers from 3 cages, kill 3 Mongol leaders, free 3 village elders (head village, blacksmith, and healer), and open all village gates. What caught my attention was the quest of killing three leaders! It will be so much inside!

The first leader I found at the fish market. To reach there, I killed a few guards. I assassinate, kill them in silence to avoid the alarm. It's funny that all the Mongol cannot see very far, I kill most the guard in front of them in a far distance but they still cannot sense something sus.

Approcahing fish market, saw a villager getting bullied there

I tried to assassinate the leader but I failed. So an alarm was triggered for nearby guards. As the intense battle begin, the fight routine started to overwhelm me. I won the battle, and kill the first leader. Two more leader to go.

1/3 Mongol's leader down

I take the roof to scout and find my next target. Attacking from above and piercing the sword through the Mongol throat right before I landed was really my favorite part. It was really high jump, what a strong leg to endure such jump.

Attacking from above

All my attacks (assassinations) succeed. I lost count of how many Mongols I killed in silence today. Then, I came across the cages that hold some of the villagers. After taking down the nearby guard, I approached the cages and started to unlock them and free the prisoners inside.

I thought it was all the cages. Three cages need to be free, but inside one of them was nothing more than a dead body. My quest tracker only gave me 2/3 of the cages that were set free. The last one must be somewhere in the village.

Only dead body was inside the last cage

My action of freeing the villagers from the cage alerted one of the guards. I missed it! I should have killed all the nearby guards, but I missed this one. The guard ran into the house where the head village was held, and tried to kill him. I ran as fast as I could to prevent it from happening. By the time I reached inside the house, it was full of Mongol's army. They were taking turns trying to kill the elder. I had no choice, I needed to attack the enemy that was attacking the elder first, a few strikes on the unarmed elder would be fatal to him. So I need to act fast and protect our lives.

I have a feeling that I might failed to protect the elder. I have no time to take a photo, I focus solely on protecting the elder and killing the Mongols. With this many enemies, it's near to impossible. But then I succeeded!

Adrenaline rush pumping, protect and kill!

The head village was rescued after the intense battle. He told me, their healer was held at the Shrines. He worries that they might already have killed her.

1/3 elder rescued

While I was walking to the shrines, I killed some more Mongols. I finally found the last cage. There were a few ladies inside. I think they were held in this one special cage for abuse, but now they are free.

Free villagers from 3/3 cages

After rescuing the last villager from the cage, I came across a group of Mongol near a bonfire. There were only 3 of them including 1 leader. The battle was fast and quite easy.

2/3 Mongol Leader killed

The battle at the shrine was also quite fast. There were only two Mongol guarding the healer. The headvillage worries no more, the healer are now free.

2/3 elders rescued

Now only one remaining elder needs to be found, the blacksmith. I went up to the roof and after a while of walking up there, I heard a conversation. A man was forcing somebody to forge a Japanese sword. This must be the blacksmith. I sneak in from the roof top and assassinate the enemy who force the elder to work for them.

Now, all elders has been rescued

I already opened all the village gates. The only quest that remains unsolved was to kill the Mongol leader. The village is big, so it took time to walk around it. But, I finally found him. The last Mongol leader had only one guard with him. So it was an easy battle. My hardest battle in this village so far, and my favourite one, was when I fought to protect the headvillage. I admit, it was hard on that one.

3/3 Mongol Leader killed

After killing the last leader, I thought I was done. I am wrong. The healer ran to me and told me that there was a boss leader waiting for me near the broken house not far from the shrines. I ran there quickly and excited for this grand battle. The boss leader had a lot of vitality, it took me more time to finally killed him. But it's not to hard compared to my favourite battle that I told you just now. I admit, this boss leader has more deadly hits and combos, he hit really hard but it can be dodge. It's and epic battle!

FATALITY!

It feels so satisfying to free Azamo Bay from the Mongol. Now, I have one more village to visit. I can trade, upgrade my war kits, or visit just to enjoy the beautiful view in this village.

So, that's all for today. Thank you so much for your support, until next battle! Have a nice day, goodbye!
