The Tale of Kenji : Servant of The People

Servant of The People

If you remember Kenji, he was the one who helped me get inside Azoma Bay on a rescue mission. Today, he wanted to meet me and needed my help. Kenji told me that the Mongols have taken all their foods. Anything that they can lay on, they take. So, Kenji and the other farmers were starving. Kenji acts suspiciously when speaking to me. I know that he doesn't own a farm, so why is he so afraid of getting involved in the farmer's problem?

According to Kenji, the Mongols will show up every few days and take all the foods away using carts. An ambush or direct attack is not an option because the Mongols have taken hostages. The hostage's life is at risk if we don't give them enough food.

Kenji's planning to hide me inside an empty barrel that he has already prepared. They already bundled the foods at the beach and are now waiting for the Mongols to come and cart them all away. So Mongol will take me (inside the roomy and empty barrel) with all the foods to their camp.

Kenji's plan actually worked. I planned to get sneaky but didn't realize there was a Mongol patrolling nearby who saw me.

The alarm quickly triggered, and all Mongols were rushing to my location. Now that all of them have been lured to me, it will be easier to eliminate them once and for all.

Their giant really gives me a hard time. I was hit by that huge shield, which sent me flying into the water. It's always frustrating to me when the enemy stops chasing me when I am inside the water. I will be much more fun if the enemy can swim and we can do knife stabbing fighting inside the water. The enemy cannot wait to swing their weapon to kill me but they stop at the riverside waiting for me to get out of the water.

I stay calm, parrying and dodging. It's been a while now. Fighting became easier with the right timing, dodge, and hit to kill. I save the giant until the enemy's number is reduced. He's really not to be taken lightly in every fight. Not only is his vitality high, but his damage is also fatal. One hit from the giant cost me more than half of my hitpoints. That's a lot.

It was an intense battle. The enemies fall down one by one. Although my katana hasn't upgraded to its maximum stat, yet, it's still as deadly as ever. Although the enemy seems stronger now, it takes me more hits to kill one, I feel much more immersed in the fighting survivability.

The fight I had with the giant was epic. Although there's a solo archer disturbing our time together, firing his arrow from a higher spot at the back, I managed to take this giant down with style. My sword straightly penetrated his armor, and that caused his death.

For the last enemy, the archer, I had fun throwing some explosives toward his location. It was fun to see the archer get hit and blown away. It just needed one successful explosion to kill the archer. All the Mongols that were camping at this location have been terminated. The peasants who has been taken as hostages are now safe.

So when I told one of the peasants, Taro, that Kenji was involved in planning to retrieve them, he was shocked and a bit angry with Kenji. The peasant told me that Kenji got into this. Kenji tried to cut a deal with the Mongols. In other words, they said that Kenji was the reason they got captured and almost lost their lives in the hostage situation.

My conversation with Taro stopped when Kenji arrived. So I question Kenji about what actually happened. Kenji then explains. What they saw was Kenji selling foods to Mongols, but actually he never gave them the real food; instead, he gave them straw and wood chips. He explained that he tried to save the farmer's food. That's a mess. No wonder the Mongols got very angry, took hostages, and then asked for free food.

Kenji admitted his wrong doing. His action not only put his name on the blacklist of the Mongol army, but also put others at stake. He never thought about it before. All he wanted to do was help the people. He was inspired by Jin Sakai to help people in need. To be the servant of the people. His intention was good and deserved a compliment. But he must learn to think ahead, and try not to interfere in other people's lives. He got his lesson in today's problem and gained experience on helping people.

Taro and others were quite angry, but they managed to hold back their anger and intention to hit, giving Kenji a bloody lesson. That's because they respect Jin Sakai as their hero and Kenji is friend of Jin. So they spared Kenji and forgave his action. Kenji says sorry and keep his voice low.

They can safely get back to the village with my watch, of course. All the food that was taken by the Mongols can be restored to the starving families.

After this task completed, I want to continue to see what Kenji's next request is. Unfortunately, it seem not to be available for now. I will be waiting to see it available because Kenji has two more tales to tell.

So before leaving, I stop at the river and take photos. The river view, blended with the green forest cinematic, is really beautiful. It relaxed and calmed the mind after an intense struggle and thriving.

So, that's all for today. Thank you so much for your support. Until next tale!

Have a nice day, and goodbye!

I can visualize every move and feel the intensity of the combat as if I were watching it in a video. And let's not forget the blood, in that game unsheathing a sword is a sign that blood will flow.

The fights in this game are always very intense, I hope Kenji has learned his lesson and doesn't do such reckless things again.

I really liked this new idea of thumbnail creating of yours. Brilliant.
Must've been hard to kill that giant. And man, those blood-spill images are thrilling as always. I guess it's hard to capture this exact moment. Good Job.

Thank you so much. I am glad that it's good. I almost doubt that it will do any good for the post.
