Memory is a movie which was released on 29th April, 2022 and stars our action movie star, Liam Neeson. We all know him, for his deep threatening voice, that could make anyone shiver. The movie Taken was the beginning of Liam's new genre in movie industry. Ever since then he has done countless numbers of those kind of movies, which is, there is villain who takes something precious from him (Liam) and he starts to take out every bad guy, to get to the villain, and then give the villain a very good death, that we, the audience cheers at.

That's a typical Liam Neeson movie, and this amazing movie, isn't so different from it, but this movie has a little bit of twist, as Liam's character has alzheimer's disease. Basically, people who suffer from alzheimer's disease suffer from loss of memory, as a result of their brain shrinking and their brain cells dying. The title of the movie was gotten from the fact that the main character which is Liam Neeson is suffering from alzheimer's disease, which results to loss of "MEMORY".

This is quite new, for a movie, where the main character who is a contract killer is suffering from loss of memory. How will a contract killer be able to perform his kills if he forgets his plans to kill or escape or even the target to be killed, that's quite an interesting storyline.

The movie is all about revenge. So, who is revenging and why? Guy Pearce played a character Vincent Serra in the movie, as a FBI officer who has been tracking the network of minor sex workers. He went for an operation, where he saved a minor(teenage girl) from her father who is using her for sex work. He tried to protect her as she might have some information about the minor sex workers network, which he wants to use to take down the people behind such a horrible operation. Then, our contract killer, Liam Neeson who played the role as Alex Lewis was called upon my those who doesn't want the teenage girl to speak out. As Liam, went to assassinate his target, he noticed it was a little child, so he backed off. He threatened the contractor, that no harm should come to that young girl, and if any harm should come to her, he would come for them. Long story cut short, they came for her, i.e killed her and it pissed him off. He went to avenge the death of the young girl, so he went on a killing spree to uncover who was in charge of such a horrible operation.

We know what Liam Neeson does best, right? Killing bad guys 😃. But this was a bit harder as he was suffering from loss of memory, so he basically have to be writing things on his body, so he can remember what he's doing. So, that's basically what the movie is all about. Liam Neeson, as Alex Lewis, trying to avenge the death of a young girl while he struggles with loss of memory.

Personal Thoughts Of The Movie

The movie wasn't bad. It's a typical Liam Neeson movie, where beats and kill bad guys because they took something from him. I thought I would see more actions in the movie, as it was directed my Martin Campbell who directed James Bond - Casino Royale, Green Lantern, The Legend of Zorro, The Protege and others. He is known for great action movies, but there wasn't so much action in the movie. The starting scene of the movie was quite interesting, where Liam Neeson killed someone who went to visit his sick mother in the hospital, in front of her eyes. I was blown away by it, I smiled to myself, because I thought the movie would be loaded with lots of action scenes throughout the movie, but it wasn't as I expected. There were like 2 or 3 good action scenes throughout the movie, which was below my expectation.

I was amazed by the acting of Liam Neeson, he is 69 years old and he can still act action movies, it is really remarkable. But I didn't like the fact that my(our) action movie icon, was acting a role of him having alzheimer's disease, making him look weak and the way and manner he was acting like almost a vegetable in the ending aspect of the movie, wasn't cool by me at all and lastly, he's last scene in the movie was very depressing. How can my great action movie icon, end a scene like that. If he is getting too old for some roles, then play him in other roles, that's my reaction. Imagine, if Jackie Chan or Jet Li, start acting a movie where they are weak, c'mon, don't spoil our childhood movie stars.

One aspect in the movie which I found confusing, was when Liam Neeson was given the details of the young child he was about to assassinate. He literally saw her details and he followed her trail, he saw her more than 3 to 4 times, so, definitely he knows he was contracted to kill a child. He knew he had moral compass, when he entered into her room, with a gun pointed to her head. If he truly had a moral compass for killing young people, he wouldn't have accepted the contract. He not only accepted the contract, he got to her room, if she didn't wake up, he most likely would have killed her. So, where was his morals all along.

Another aspect in the movie which I found most confusing was when Liam Neeson was in the hospital. The leader of the network wanted him dead and the villain had the police wrapped around her finger but she used a nervous doctor to try to assassinate Liam. I really don't get it. There were police everywhere in the hospital, and they were giving the doctor direction and nods, so they know what he was going to do. That means she also informed them, then why don't you use any of them, to complete a simple task, instead of using a doctor who is very nervous and has no combat skills to complete such a huge task. I'm still confused.

A small spoiler, Liam killed the villain's son but it wasn't so satisfying because he really didn't do much to deserve it. Yeah, I know he was sleeping with minors, and that's terrible but killing him??? He could be locked up, so he change his ways. Although the style which Liam used to kill him, was very awesome. Yeah, not giving you that spoiler 😂.

Conclusion

Every Liam Neeson's movie is a movie to watch, although this won't be among my top 3 Liam Neeson's movie because I didn't find it that excellent. Don't get it twisted, it is still a very good movie, if you find Liam's kind of movies interesting, so it is a very good watch. I will rate a 6.5/10 because I expected more action scenes, I felt like there were two stories in the movie, and also the role of Liam Neeson's character in the movie was awful, an old contract killer, losing his mind, not a good way to show a true legend.

Esa es una película típica de Liam Neeson, y esta increíble película no es tan diferente de ella, pero esta película tiene un pequeño giro, ya que el personaje de Liam tiene la enfermedad de alzheimer. Básicamente, las personas que padecen la enfermedad de alzheimer sufren pérdida de memoria, como resultado de que su cerebro se encoge y sus células cerebrales mueren. El título de la película se obtuvo del hecho de que el personaje principal, Liam Neeson, padece la enfermedad de alzheimer, lo que resulta en la pérdida de "MEMORIA".

Pensamientos personales de la película

La película no estuvo mal. Es una película típica de Liam Neeson, donde golpea y mata a los malos porque le quitaron algo. Pensé que vería más acciones en la película, ya que fue dirigida por mi Martin Campbell quien dirigió James Bond - Casino Royale, Green Lantern, The Legend of El Zorro, El Protege y otros. Es conocido por sus grandes películas de acción, pero no había tanta acción en la película. La escena inicial de la película fue bastante interesante, donde Liam Neeson mató a alguien que fue a visitar a su madre enferma al hospital, frente a sus ojos. Me quedé impresionado, sonreí para mis adentros, porque pensé que la película estaría cargada de muchas escenas de acción a lo largo de la película, pero no fue como esperaba. Hubo como 2 o 3 buenas escenas de acción a lo largo de la película, lo cual estuvo por debajo de mis expectativas.

Me sorprendió la actuación de Liam Neeson, tiene 69 años y todavía puede actuar en películas de acción, es realmente notable. Pero no me gustó el hecho de que mi (nuestro) icono de la película de acción interpretara el papel de él con la enfermedad de Alzheimer, haciéndolo parecer débil y la forma y manera en que actuaba casi como un vegetal en el aspecto final de la película. , no fue genial para mí en absoluto y, por último, la última escena de él en la película fue muy deprimente. ¿Cómo puede mi gran ícono de la película de acción terminar una escena así? Si se está volviendo demasiado viejo para algunos papeles, entonces hazlo en otros papeles, esa es mi reacción. Un aspecto de la película que encontré confuso fue cuando a Liam Neeson se le dieron los detalles del niño pequeño que estaba a punto de asesinar. Literalmente vio sus detalles y siguió su rastro, la vio más de 3 o 4 veces, así que definitivamente sabe que fue contratado para matar a un niño. Sabía que tenía una brújula moral, cuando entró en su habitación, con un arma apuntándole a la cabeza. Si realmente tuviera una brújula moral para matar jóvenes, no habría aceptado el contrato. No solo aceptó el contrato, sino que llegó a su habitación, si ella no se despertaba, lo más probable es que la hubiera matado. Entonces, ¿dónde estaba su moral todo el tiempo?

Otro aspecto de la película que encontré más confuso fue cuando Liam Neeson estaba en el hospital. El líder de la red lo quería muerto y el villano tenía a la policía atrapada en su dedo, pero usó a un médico nervioso para intentar asesinar a Liam. Realmente no lo entiendo. Había policías por todas partes en el hospital, y le daban instrucciones al médico y asentían, para que supieran lo que iba a hacer. Eso significa que ella también les informó, entonces, ¿por qué no usas ninguno de ellos para completar una tarea simple, en lugar de usar a un médico que está muy nervioso y no tiene habilidades de combate para completar una tarea tan grande? Todavía estoy confundido.

Un pequeño spoiler, Liam mató al hijo del villano pero no fue tan satisfactorio porque realmente no hizo mucho para merecerlo. Sí, sé que se acostaba con menores, y eso es terrible, pero ¿¿matarlo? Podría estar encerrado, por lo que cambió sus formas. Aunque el estilo que usó Liam para matarlo fue muy impresionante. Sí, no te daré ese spoiler 😂.

Conclusión

Cada película de Liam Neeson es una película para ver, aunque esta no estará entre mis 3 mejores películas de Liam Neeson porque no me pareció tan excelente. No lo malinterpreten, sigue siendo una muy buena película, si encuentra interesantes el tipo de películas de Liam, entonces es un muy buen reloj. Calificaré un 6.5/10 porque esperaba más escenas de acción, sentí que había dos historias en la película, y también el papel del personaje de Liam Neeson en la película fue horrible, un viejo asesino a sueldo, perdiendo la cabeza, no un buena manera de mostrar una verdadera leyenda.

Definitivamente vale la pena verlo. Crees que el villano pagará? Sobrevivirá el personaje de Liam Neeson cuando las probabilidades están en su contra, porque sufre pérdida de MEMORIA? Ya has visto la película? Si es así, qué piensas de la película?
