Ladies of hive community contest #185//loving myself and loving the kids every day tells me me I am unique and a wonderful mother.

Hello amazing ladies of hive,
I am exhilarated and moved to join in this week's Contest #185.

The month of May is a unique and a special month.It is the Fifth month of the year, it symbolizes grace.It is an incredible month, that celebrate mothers.

I totally agree that every day is mother's day because,as a mother I am always on duty, and as a mother I pay rapt attention and I am observing my kids every day, which means every moment, it takes hard work, dedication, commitment, observation and sacrifice to watch over the kids.
Loving the kids,and loving myself has been for me a unique and special way of valuing every effort I make towards them .

*Preparing their meals every day
No matter how busy or tired I may be, there must be food for the kids every day . Breakfast, lunch and dinner.This to ensure their growth development, sound mind and sound health.

• Spending quality time
  This enables me to build a strong connection and bond with them.
  To constantly remind them of how special they are to me and how important they are. I tell them not to look down on themselves, to be bold to defend themselves.To do the right thing, whether I am there or not.
  I tell me to feel free to talk to me about anything, share their thoughts over any matter, this help me know if there's a challenge or something I need to pay more attention on.
  It helps me to trace any form of their being bullied or any source of concern.

*Excitement
When they are so excited 😊,
It means I have made their favorite food and that will attract me alot hugs and kisses 😘
Taking them out to fun places.
At home we can sing and dance to music 🎵🎵🎵.
Tell them stories and listen to their jokes.

*Displeasure
When they are sad, I know, something bad happened in school and, either with a class mate or a misunderstanding with a friend. Or when they have just received a constructive discipline for being naughty.

*Sick 😷
Sign and symptoms,I have observed on their skin, eyes, temperature, urine, stool, teething etc
I know it is time for medical attention .
When one of them looses appetite to eat, strong refusal to eat after long persuasion, it is a sign for a medical check up.

*Promises fulfilled or failed
There's a look on my daughter's face, when a promise is fulfilled, the Joy is overwhelming and contagious and you can see that those little eyes have built in more trust and confidence .When a promise is failed, there's a sad countenance displayed.

*Distraction
Poor performance in class work and home work. Is a sign that tells me, a particular subject is not being understood. Or there is a distraction hanging around.

*Praying for my kids
I take time to to pray for my kids, for God's protection, grace, wisdom, favor, understanding, knowledge to rest on them.
I am not perfect, so I can't expect them to be.
I place them in the care of the perfect one God ,to guide me and them in the right direction.

*Sharing in their success and achievements.
This is during the speech and prize giving day. I ensure I attend the event, support and award them personally when they come home with a prize.
During the inter house sports day I, attend the event to cheer them and join their team to support their team members.

🌹Not waiting for anyone to appreciate me, I give myself a treat by making something special for myself "loving "me"
I give my self pep talks, and I tell my self,that I am doing a good job.
I get myself a nice dress,get a good shoe, a nice jewelry to match,make lovely hair do.
Remind myself that I am loved 😍
They kids write ✍️ me thank you letters 💌 on my birthday, mothers day ,Christmas day etc
and I receive kisses and hugs every day.
I take time to relax and listen to good music. I love singing and dancing, I take time to worship and reflect on the goodness of God.
I smile 😊 always and try to encourage others when they are distressed.
I also do volunteer jobs to assist other people,that makes me happy also.
