Garden Update : Bell Peppers and More!
Here I am again with my vegetable garden. This time there is not much to see but I am glad there are still live plants. I got so caught up with many things this past weeks and I even got sick. We suspected it was Covid 19 because I lost my sense of smell and taste for almost a month. But that is in the past now, I have recovered and soon I will get myself vaccinated.
Anyway, back to our garden. A month or so ago, our children, planted seeds of the bell pepper we used for our food. I was not really expecting for it to grow into seedlings. To my surprise it did!! There was a lot of it. When it started to grow bigger, I transferred it to individuals cans (as pots). Some of it have withered and died eventually. But there are almost ten of it that continued to grow and now it is beginning to bear flowers then fruits (bell beppers).
Bell Pepper with flowers, and with ants LOL. Took this photo two or three days ago, I guess.
This morning I took more photos and found out there are already fruits (bell peppers) aside from the flowers. I hope these ones will not be devoured by pests or wither. I am excited to see bell peppers in our garden. We had one bell pepper plant before but the plant itself got sick that it did not grow so well. Though I was able to harvest two or three bell peppers. With this one, I hope it will bear more and give us good harvest.
The eggplants are still giving us few harvest. I thought it will no longer bear eggplants. We still got three eggplant plants :D. I hope that sounded right LOL. I am glad they are still alive after all.
Eggplants. Who would have thought that with the small area we have here, we will be able to have our very own vegetables fresh from our garden.
These are spinach. It freely grew from the seeds that was produced by an old spinach. There are countless seedlings. I have not transferred it to individual pots. So they are crowded. :D We had a rainy weather lately so the plants are happy.
And of course this chives. It has grown more. Healthy and green!
We still have our lemons and kalamansi (still no fruit), Kamote tops, basil, aloe vera, and parsley. I did not take pictures, maybe next update.
I had plans to make a garden "overhaul". Replace the old plants and plant new ones. I am just finding time. Because I know doing it will really take much time.
This is all for now. I'll keep you posted if I have pursued my plans for garden overhaul.
Until next time! Take care and stay safe!
Love,
whoa, you have chives. I imagine making stir-fried tofu with chives. :)
I have not tried that. But i've used cinnamon basil for our fried tofu.. I'll try that next time.
Thank you for the visit.
