Y comenzo el entrenamiento de velocidades largas, si que hay que tener fortaleza mental, pero alli vamos, adaptando al cuerpo a estos ritmos y sobretodo la mente, que quiere abortar ante la fatiga. Inicie mi pirmer kilometro con un ritmo de 5:17 min/km, la idea era trata de mantenerme en 5:20, alli trate ya en el ultimo kilometro en el cuatro senti la perdida de energia debia terminarlo un poco menor que el inicio pero no fue asi, lo termine el kilometro cinco en 5:29 min/Km, bueno seguimos trabajando para mejorar. Al terminar la velocidad de cinco mil, enfrie a pasa suave hasta casa, aproximadamente un kilometro y medio, me hidrate. Me senti satisfecha con el trabajo de hoy. ππ½ππ½ππ½

Today I'm doing speed work, and long runs. Doing these in the stadium, going round and round, really drives you crazy. It's really hard mentally to do runs of more than 1 km in the stadium. It's like torture, that's how I feel. So, for today's long speed work, we went to a long, almost flat avenue. The good thing is that it's a full kilometre, so I tell myself it's five laps for the 5,000-metre speed work, which was what we had to do in this training session. And so I started today's training. We didn't want to go out too early so that we could see the terrain better, but as it was getting light so late, we had to wait a little longer while we warmed up a bit.
And so began the long speed training. You do need mental strength, but there we go, adapting the body to these rhythms and, above all, the mind, which wants to give up in the face of fatigue. I started my first kilometre at a pace of 5:17 min/km. The idea was to try to maintain 5:20, but in the last kilometre, I felt my energy levels drop. I should have finished a little slower than I started, but that wasn't the case. I finished the fifth kilometre in 5:29 min/km. Well, we'll keep working to improve.
