Mining My Way Victory With My Ant Army!

avatar

Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use Ant Miners 🐜

Ruleset

All monsters have the Knockout 🥊 ability, which does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.

Also, no Legendaries and a nana cap of just 23.

Here is my battle:

So, here was the team I put together:

Since, Ant Miner is a Fire 🔥 Monster, I picked, Malric Inferno- a powerful Fire Summoner! Malric is at level 4 and adds an attack stat to each melee monster!!

Malric is a unique curiosity in the already diverse Burning Lands. He is a spectre of fire with powerful attacks of his own, but he is also extraordinarily brilliant. Malric has graduated from every Ferexia school, including the prestigious Summun Infuria. He is especially skilled in boosting the attack power of his monsters.

I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

My Monster Lineup

In my tank position, I chose Ant Miners. I don’t usually pick the card because all the stats pretty much suck, But it’s part of the challenge! I do however, like the low mana and Scavenger ability, which allowes the monster to gain 1 max health each time any monster dies. It is also a melee monster, so it gets a buff from the summoner.

Fineas Rage followed. I love to use this card in battle! His reach ability allows him to attack from the second position. I love all his stats, but especially his fast speed! He is also a melee monster, so he also got the extra attack buff!

I then chose, Kobold Miner. His low mana and golden glow, made him the perfect choice! I got really liked his snake ability, which Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster. He is also a melee monster, so Malric’s buff, made for a better attack!

Elven Cutthroat was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card has OK stats, but I like him for it’s speed! This card is also a melee monster, so he got a buff as well!

Serpentine Spy was fifth. I like to use Gold foil cards when possible. This card is a melee monster, but his opportunity ability allowed him to attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. Since, Mr. Spy is also a melee monster, he received Malric’s buff.

Grenadier anchored the team. Most of his stats were unimpressive, but fit in with my Mana cap. He did, however, have the pretty cool oppress ABILITY:
Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attack. This was my first time using him – I think!

My battle went 3 rounds, and I only lost 2 monsters. I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽

This battle netted me 24.272 DEC! That’s about 20 cents for simply winning a battle in a fun game! That’s crazy 😜
