Hello flower-loving friends, today I want to share a series of images of various flowers that I have taken in the course of several walks.

I am not really an expert in flowers or anything to do with botany, I just admire the beauty of flowers and plants as well as all of nature.

However, I gave myself the task of researching the name of each one and I will write something that stayed with me from the reading, but I leave the names in case you are interested in researching more about each one.

Hola amigos amantes de las flores, hoy quiero compartir una serie de imágenes de varias flores que he tomado en el transcurso de varios paseos.

Realmente no soy experta en flores ni nada que tenga que ver con botánica, solo admiro la belleza de las flores y de las plantas al igual que toda la naturaleza.

Sin embargo, me di la tarea de investigar el nombre de cada una y escribiré algo que se me quedó de la lectura, pero les dejo los nombres por si a ustedes les interesa investigar más acerca de cada una.

The Cosmo Sonata, is a flower easy to find on the roads and highways, it grows as a wild plant but it is very beautiful for gardens, in fact this photo was taken at a stop we made on a road in Mexico to buy water, I was impressed to see a field full of this plant, although they were neglected they looked beautiful. According to what I read it does not require much care and it sprouts itself every year so it is always growing. There are several colors and the flower can measure up to 7cm in diameter.

La Cosmo Sonata, es una flor fácil de encontrar en los caminos y las carreteras, crece como planta silvestre pero es muy bella para los jardines, de echo esta foto la tomé en una parada que hicimos en una via de México para comprar agua, me impresionó ver un campo lleno de esta planta, aunque estaban descuidadas lucían hermosas. Según lo que leí no requiere de mucho cuidado y ella misma retoña cada año por lo que siempre esta creciendo. Hay de varios colores y la flor puede llegar a medir hasta 7cm de diámetro.

This flower above, is really beautiful and grows on the stem of the plant, I took this photo in a main street of the city of Bogota in Colombia, in fact there were many of these plants on the edge of the road, from what I read is a plant of European origin, I also read that grows easily and does not need much care. The truth is an advantage that it does not need so much care because it is proper to decorate streets and avenues.

Esta flor de arriba, es realmente hermosa y crece en el tallo de la planta, esta foto la tomé en una calle principal de la Ciudad de Bogota en Colombia, de echo habían muchas de estas plantas en el borde de la carretera, por lo que leí es una planta de origen europeo, también leí que crece con facilidad y no necesita mucho cuidado. La verdad es una ventaja que no necesite tanto cuidado porque es propia para adornar calles y avenidas.

Gazania Rigens, although a very beautiful flower, is considered an invasive plant in some places. It also resists dry soils and is self-reproducing, something curious that I read, is that for it to bloom it must receive sun.

La Gazania Rigens aunque es una flor muy bella es considerada una planta invasora en algunos lugares. También resiste terrenos secos y se autoreproduce, algo curioso que leí, es que para que florezca debe recibir sol.

I photographed this cactus in one of the gardens of the building where a friend lives, they say that this is the most common cactus that exists, but I had never paid attention to its beautiful flower. It is a plant that blooms in summer and spring and like the previous ones does not require much care, well I guess because it is a cactus. The curious thing is that its flower only lasts one day, but that is not a problem because it is always blooming.

Este cactus lo fotografié en uno de los jardines del edificio donde vive un amigo, dicen que este es el cactus más común que existe, pero yo nunca le había prestado atención a su flor tan hermosa. Es una planta que florece en verano y primavera y al igual que las anteriores no requiere de mucho cuidado, bueno supongo que por ser un cactus. Lo curios es que su flor solo dura un día, pero eso no es problema porque siempre esta floreciendo.
