Pork Giniling: Made With Love For Our Daycare Kids

avatar

‎Hello everyone! 💛

‎Today I want to share the special dish I helped prepare for the daycare feeding program... It's Pork Giniling.

‎It’s just simple, tasty, and perfect for little tummies like my son Ryzen and his classmates.

Ingredients:

‎• 1 kg ground pork
‎• 4 medium carrots
‎• 3 large potatoes
‎• 1 large onion
‎• 1 whole garlic bulb
‎• 1 small packet ground black pepper
‎• 2 tbsp cooking oil
‎• 1 tbsp iodized salt
‎• 1 tbsp soy sauce
‎• 1 tsp fish sauce
‎• 2 cups water

Let's cook!

‎I started by getting our big pan ready and pouring in the cooking oil. I let it warm up a little, then put in the minced garlic and the chopped red onions. I kept mixing it until they got soft and clear.

‎Next, I added all the ground pork and some of the carrots that had been mixed in there. I stirred it well, breaking apart any big clumps, until the meat turned pale brown.

‎Then I mixed in the diced carrots and the potatoes. Stirred for a minute so it could soak up the flavor from the meat. I also poured in water, added the soy sauce, fish sauce, salt, and the black pepper.

‎After that, I covered the pan and let it simmer for around 12–15 minutes.. Checking it once in a while to make sure it wasn’t drying out, and gave it a light stir so nothing stuck at the bottom. Once the potatoes and carrots felt soft, I added just a tiny pinch more salt.

‎And that's it!!

‎We scooped them into the designated lunch boxes prepared for the kids. And they enjoyed every bite!

‎Until my next recipe...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
