Gems Of Volunteering: Painting The Kingdom Hall Wall

Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of volunteering at our Kingdom Hall.

And my assignment for that afternoon was to help paint the outside wall at the back.

Before I could even begin painting, there was preparation to do.
I was instructed to move the stones at the bottom of the wall so I could start properly.
After that, I cleaned the surface by rubbing it with a wet cloth, making sure the wall was ready to receive the paint.
Only then could I start painting it white... First coat, then second coat.
Then once it dried, I applied the winter paint... Everything had to be done twice to ensure a clean and lasting finish.
At exactly 3:00 PM, we were allowed to take a break and enjoy our snacks.
We had ulog-ulog and cake.

It's just simple food, but it tastes extra good after hours of work. 🥰
Shortly after, we went back to our assigned tasks, and I continued painting until around 5:00 pm.
After the first layers dried, I applied the final coat, carefully covering every part.
Painting the wall is not as easy as it looked.
My hands and arms eventually became numb from the repeated movements, and I had to pause and break for a while.
And after taking a short break, I gathered my strength and continued.
Despite the physical tiredness, my day ended with a happy and fulfilled heart. 💜

Working alongside other volunteers, helping one another, and accomplishing tasks together makes me grateful to have been part of it.
Until my next experience...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
