Lecciones de vida (ES/EN)

Hola amigos tengo el enorme placer de publicar nuevamente en esta valiosa comunidad. Les envío mis saludos y respeto ante todo.
Cuando uno es joven no valora las cosas y/o acciones de la misma forma que cuando ya se tiene cierta experiencia por los años vividos.
A veces somos partícipes de acciones de otras personas para nuestro bienestar que aparentemente son normales pero que realmente constituyen lecciones de vida y nos enriquecen espiritualmente, lo cual contribuye a nuestra educación y nos capacitan para retribuir con buenas acciones en el futuro a otras personas.
Han pasado muchos años desde que viví una experiencia muy enriquecedora que fue muy importante en mi vida, siempre ha estado en mi memoria y la recuerdo con mucho cariño.
Llevo solo 4 meses en Hive y este ecosistema me anima a publicar mis vivencias, por dos razones muy importantes: se quedan por siempre publicadas, al alcance siempre que queramos leerlas y permite que las buenas acciones divulgadas puedan servir de ejemplo a seguir para contribuir en la educación de las nuevas generaciones.
Bueno, sin más preámbulo les contaré mi vivencia. En el año 1990 yo estaba recién graduada y tuve la posibilidad de participar en un congreso científico en Brasil, en la ciudad de Sao Paulo. Como pueden darse cuenta, no había celulares, ni correo electrónico por lo que la comunicación era muy difícil. Yo recibí instrucciones del viaje a través de una llamada por teléfono fijo desde Brasil y la persona me hablaba en Portuñol, como decimos nosotros, mezcla de portugués y español. Por tanto yo escribí todas las instrucciones como las entendí, me dijeron cómo iba a ser mi recogida y el Hotel al que debía ir.

Era mi primer viaje en avión y al extranjero, pero yo aparento ser valiente y me enfrento al problema. Por suerte en el avión me encuentro con un prestigioso científico que viajaba también para participar en el mismo congreso. ¡Qué suerte! Cuando llegamos al aeropuerto de Sao Paulo lo estaban esperando a él para conducirlo en taxi al hotel. Pero como buen cubano y compañero él pide que me trasladen también. Cuando el chofer me pregunta cuál es mi hotel yo le respondo… pero él no conocía ese hotel que yo decía, o sea yo había interpretado mal el nombre del hotel que me correspondía, yo tenía los nervios disparados ¿cómo resolvería el problema? Cuando mi colega llega a su hotel conversa con alguien del comité organizador, quien nos indica el hotel que me tenían reservado. Gracias a la solidaridad de mi colega yo llegué sin contratiempos a mi destino en un país desconocido y sin conocer su lengua. Esta es una primera lección pero no la única en este viaje.

El congreso fue muy exitoso, fue mi primera participación en congreso y fuera de mi país, presenté mi trabajo en inglés en la sección de carteles. Al terminar las sesiones nos llevaron a conocer varios lugares icónicos de Sao Paulo, entre ellos visitamos un sambódromo, lugar donde practican las escuelas de samba que participan en los carnavales. Era temporada cercana a los carnavales de Brasil. Ese día nos divertimos mucho y nos mezclamos con los brasileños en la coreografía de la samba.
Llegó la hora de la despedida de Sao Paulo. El viaje tenía escala en Venezuela, donde debía esperar 8 horas para tomar el avión Caracas-La Habana.
Estábamos en la sala de espera del aeropuerto cuando vinieron agentes de seguridad informándonos que debíamos salir hacia la zona de parqueo en el exterior porque había peligro por amenaza de bombas. Cuando estábamos todos afuera mi colega divisó a la presidenta de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba y dos asesoras que también iban a tomar el mismo vuelo hacia Caracas y luego hacia La Habana. Se saludaron y me presentó ante ella ¡qué honor! Y ahí no terminan las sorpresas, él le pide de favor que me cuide y me guie porque yo estaba muy nerviosa con todo lo que estaba pasando ya que él debía hacer una estancia en Venezuela antes de regresar a Cuba. Al terminar el peligro en el aeropuerto nos montamos en el avión rumbo a Caracas. ¡Y qué sorpresa la mía! Al llegar a Caracas la académica me dijo que la siguiera y me llevó con sus asesoras a la embajada donde almorzamos, también tomé un baño y luego nos llevaron a recorrer Caracas, fuimos a la plaza Simón Bolívar y nos tomamos una foto con una cámara polaroid instantánea y además ¡nos obsequió una foto a cada una! Esta foto la conservo muy bien y se las voy a mostrar. Luego nos llevaron al aeropuerto para tomar el avión rumbo a La Habana.

Así fui otra vez agraciada con la solidaridad humana por parte de mi colega y de nuestra prestigiosa ministra de Ciencias.

¡Cuántas lecciones recibí en este pequeño viaje de 4 días! Suficientes para mantenerlas entre mis más preciados recuerdos. Estas acciones dejaron huellas indelebles en mí, que me enseñaron a siempre ayudar a las personas cuando lo necesiten y esté a mí alcance.

Life lessons
Hello friends I have the great pleasure to post again in this valuable community. I send you my greetings and respect first and foremost.
When you are young you do not value things and/or actions in the same way as when you already have a certain experience due to the years you have lived.
Sometimes we participate in other people's actions for our well-being that are apparently normal but that really constitute life lessons and enrich us spiritually, which contribute to our education and enable us to give back with good deeds in the future to other people.

I have only been in Hive for 4 months and this ecosystem encourages me to publish my experiences, for two very important reasons: they remain published forever, within reach whenever we want to read them and it allows the good actions disclosed to serve as an example to follow to contribute in the education of new generations.
Well, without further ado I will tell you my experience. In 1990 I was a recent graduate and had the opportunity to participate in a scientific conference in Brazil, in the city of Sao Paulo. As you can see, there were no cell phones or email so communication was very difficult. I received travel instructions through a landline call from Brazil and the person spoke to me in Portuñol, as we say, a mix of Portuguese and Spanish. Therefore I wrote all the instructions as I understood them, they told me how my pick-up was going to be and the Hotel I should go to.

It was my first trip by plane and abroad, but I appeared to be brave and faced the problem. Luckily, on the plane I met a prestigious scientist who was also traveling to participate in the same conference. Lucky! When we arrived at the Sao Paulo airport they were waiting for him to take him by taxi to the hotel. But as a good Cuban and companion, he asks that I be transferred too. When the driver asks me what my hotel is, I answer... but he didn't know the hotel I was talking about, that is, I had misinterpreted the name of the hotel that corresponded to me, my nerves were shot, how would I solve the problem? When my colleague arrives at his hotel, he talks to someone from the organizing committee, who tells us the hotel they had reserved for me. Thanks to the solidarity of my colleague, I arrived safely at my destination in an unknown country without knowing its language. This is a first lesson but not the only one on this journey.

The congress was very successful, it was my first participation in a congress and outside my country, I presented my work in English in the poster section. At the end of the sessions they took us to visit several iconic places in Sao Paulo, among them we visited a sambadrome, a place where the samba schools that participate in the carnivals practice. It was close to the Brazilian carnival season. That day we had a lot of fun and mixed with the Brazilians in the samba choreography.
The time has come to say goodbye to Sao Paulo. The trip had a stopover in Venezuela, where I had to wait 8 hours to take the Caracas-Havana plane.
We were in the airport waiting room when security agents came informing us that we had to go to the parking area outside because there was a danger due to the threat of bombs. When we were all outside, my colleague saw the President of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and two advisors who were also going to take the same flight to Caracas and then to Havana. They greeted each other and she introduced me to her, what an honor! And the surprises don't end there, he asks her to please take care of me and guide me because I was very nervous with everything that was happening, since he had to stay in Venezuela before returning to Cuba. Once the danger at the airport was over, we got on the plane to Caracas. And what a surprise for me! Upon arriving in Caracas, the academic told me to follow her and took me with them to the embassy where we had lunch, I also took a bath and then they took us to tour Caracas, we went to Simón Bolívar Square and took a photo with an instant polaroid camera. And he also gave us each a photo! I preserve this photo very well and I am going to show it to you. Then they took us to the airport to take the plane to Havana.

Thus I was once again blessed with human solidarity on the part of my colleague and our prestigious academic scientist.

How many lessons I received in this little 4-day trip! Enough to keep them among my most precious memories. These actions left indelible marks on me, which taught me to always help people when they need it and it is within my reach.
