Sketch Of An Oldman
My love for sketching old people is still strong. Their expressions are filled with amazement and captivating.
I do enjoy working on those wrinkles on their faces. They are always challenging and at the same time fun. Funny thing is that I learn a new thing with every new piece I work on.
Here is another piece of an old man with bare head done with a blue ballpoint pen. I used scribble technique to create this piece.

I don't sketch, but, I can tell you that this is such a wonderful rendition of an old man. I, too, love the character that the wrinkles bring out.

I often see old people with expessions filled with pain and tiredness. Or without any expressions. But rarely amazement.
Oh really? Perhaps you need to get there and put a smile on their faces. Just a little compliment could do that.
Hi @maxwellimarcusart, I love your talent and your choice of subjects. Old people have a life time of stories that seems to be reflective so well in their faces....... their interesting productive work, family and friendship lives. Everybody has a story.
Yeh, they are often quiet. I think they spend those quiet moments retrospecting their old good days.
And perhaps feeling the wisdom they have gained over their lifetimes too.
