When I went to the back of my house, I suddenly managed to find a large mushroom growing on a dead and decaying oil palm tree, and I often call this mushroom an “umbrella mushroom.” This mushroom is quite large, so we can easily spot it from a distance. It has a large and long stem, with a cap that is wide open like an umbrella. On the underside of this mushroom, there are natural patterns that look very beautiful, and to photograph this mushroom, I did not need the help of a macro lens.
This mushroom is most likely still very young, and this can be seen from its texture, which is still soft and springy rather than hard. Its color also still looks quite bright.
However, I do not know whether this mushroom is safe to consume or not, and this mushroom grows directly on a dead oil palm tree.
Because it doesn't bother me, I still let this mushroom grow there, and indeed when it rains, this mushroom will definitely grow.
