Genus Diplonychus

This is a giant water bug that I managed to find in front of my house. Lately, heavy rain has been falling continuously in my area, creating many puddles and relatively cool weather. Then, at night, I managed to find an insect that we usually find living in water.

I myself did not know the name of this insect, but it has a very unique appearance and, at first glance, it really does look like a giant bug. A friend of mine even tried holding this insect, and it turned out that this insect has a very painful bite, so it is highly recommended not to touch or play around with it.
After I searched for some information about this insect on Google, it turned out that it really is a giant water bug, and this insect often lives in freshwater environments such as ponds, swamps, or slow-moving bodies of water.

And the one who caught this insect was my friend, while I only took some photos of it at that time.
