How To Do Get Exchange Fees To Zero? (ThorChain)

Over on Thorswap there has been a recent update on its swap features that allows users to essentially pay zero on swap fees. Yes you read that right, not 0.3% per swap fee, not 0.2% or less but free. How is this done and how to take advantage?

With vested THOR of any amount starting with as low as 1 vTHOR users can have swap fees reduced to zero when using Thorswap! The vTHOR is a ETH ERC token therefore metamask wallet and ETH compatible wallets will be required.

Essentially those who hold vTHOR will get earned swap fees in THOR as long as they stake their THOR. vTHOR is the staked version of THOR and currently vTHOR is offering over 200% APY yield. What is better than staking THOR to earn more THOR meanwhile swapping tokens with zero swap fees?

There is close to $900 million in TVL therefore pools are filled with liquidity. There are a little over 2 dozen coins to swap in and out of and remember Thorswap can do native tokens swaps.

From BTC, ETH, BUSD, LUNA, LTC, BCH, DOGE and many more native tokens able to swap. In addition the protocol is having continuous updates in new tokens swap as the next in line are ATOM, AVAX, and MATIC expected to roll out some time this year or next 2022/23.

Conclusions

Stake at least 1 THOR to have protocol fees wavier on swaps. The only fee to pay is the network fee. For instance swapping for ETH you would still have to pay the ETH gas fee. Yet the 0.3% fee on Thorswap is waved with vTHOR holding.

Not many exchanges has free fees and on top be a decentralized exchange. Thorswap is a gem in its class. Next time you want do perform a swap between tokens check out Thorswap first to see if the swaps are available to have avoid paying fees on swaps.

That sounds like a pretty good feature and it's a trader's paradise when it deals with just Thorchain. Is there a difference between RUNE and THOR? I get the feeling that THOR is more of a exchange platform.
