We are in the section of the tomato Farm in which it occupied some portion of the farm. This is also as a result of a very good transplant seedlings that I made some few weeks ago. It is good to mix up crops when you do this you will absolutely no what it entails to cultivate mixed cropping. In this particular section as well I also have pepper but we are not going to talk about that at the moment.

Tomato as we all know that it needs a lot of embracement through staking. When this is removed from the tomato planting then there will be a lot of problem arising from this aspects. Some farmers may weave it but it is still affect the production at the long run. So why not fix the process and let it be growing up steady at a slow pace. When they transplant was done as at that time I made mention of staking. And it will take effect very soon because the tomato have reached a very good state where they staking is necessary or else if you affect, the growth and the development. I took some pictures of the tomato section while on the farm.

• The fact that the tomato plants does not grow equally yet you can see that the leaves showed that they utilize the nutrients the same time.

We are observing them for a while before the next step, which is the staking process. This will take nothing less than few hours before it can be completed.

The rate at which the tomato plants are showing signs of flowers is really encouraging. And this also showed that there is more to green up of into tomato production. As a tomato farmer you must also take note of the leaves. When the leaves are not green in color, then you must know that there is fire on the mountain. You need to act fast, and supply the necessary nutrient.

When I was in the university, we also did a project on tomato farming. This actually gave me a lot of good memory inside about how to get out for this plant as individual. We also need to know that it is a crop that can be managed even when the production is minimal. We can always add more nutrients to the soil. To boost the crops effectively.

There is no other way to bring out the best production in tomato farming without the use of staking. Any other modern way may not be valid. I have visited a lot of farmers who are to tomato farming they did this next process in mass. Such that even in the next 6 months the tomato will continue producing.

Tomato farming is not also common in part of west Africa Nigeria. But when you are talking about cassava, maize, yam, cocoyam, yes we have much more farmer into this type of cropping system.
