Based on the tomato planting we have the staking method which is a common way to improve the tomato production in any kind of Farm setting. Like you all know that, we have different method of approach to add alot of farm activities but based on my own experience this is what I know. And this is what I practice as a farmer. And that is why I bring it to you to also gain more one or two things.

There are farmers who actually use rope or twine to help the tomato to stand up firm and start producing more. But me I prefer to use sticks. I mean dead branches. These are the process I took while handling the staking method or process.

• These are the dead branches I used. I went into the wood, to source for this particular tree branches. Although they are not too much, but yet it is very manageable.

You can use any type of tree branches. You must make sure that it has a lot of branch so that you will attach the tomato itself on it and tie it up.

• After removing the lease from the branches heat remains just the empty branches. This will make the farmer to attach the tomato plant to the already dead branches.

This is how its will be after you might have done its rightly.

• This is the Dead branches I have done.

The Dead branches can also be used for some other crops like yam sweet potato and some cases and some other crawling crops. But for now the Dead branches is used for this particular tomato Farm.

I happen to remove all the leaves one end to the other. I also make use of the wire mesh which I bought this purpose as well as the cutting edge scissors. This scissors is absolutely good and strong.

• This was the first step I took. I needed to in erect the tree branches very close to the tomato plant which I will use it to support.

Thereafter, I used this scissors to cut the wire into required sizes. You also need to know the measurement so that it will be easier for you to maneuver the cut wire.

• After that, I used the already cut wire to rent and guide the tomato plant individually. This will help the tomato to also grow taller as well as it will make it to produce more flowers.

This Flowers will also graduate to the level to which the pods will always grow to the state and stage it will start producing.

The dead branches must be short or long. In either ways. It will work so well. But it is better the stick should be long. It
