The rainy season is always giving us the farmer the privilege to showcase more cultivation and more production. In either ways, if you have the strength to cultivate crops that can reach the maturity stage within 3 months, it is advisable to go for the crop, in as much as you have all what it takes. Cultivating crops such as okra is also more productive during the rainy season. It is one of the Crops that is easily cultivated, easily managed and the production is also massive. When you care for the farm at Large. Getting used to mix cropping system is also good at this point in time.
I always mix 1 crop or more other crop together so that it will give a lot of soil nutrients mixture. A lot of soil nutrient mixture in the sense that, there will be no struggle for nutrients absorption. And this is simply because they are different crops entirely. I took some pictures of the okra species and crop with which it given more flowers signs. When this sign occurring then it means the fruiting stage has commenced.
- When I planted the okra seeds. It now 2 months old and I can really see that the improvement is there. We have the okra plant in two rows and in the other section of the farm.
The flowering stages are always equal. Equal in the sense that within the range of 24 hours or 48 hours, you see your okra at the same time showing the sign of flowering stages. When it does this, you are extremely lucky. Expecting more of good production at the same time.
In my discord channel, I saw a question which goes thus, how do you record my a very good okra seeds? I always show us the steps that I take personally so that we can always see in full details how you can select your good okra seeds...?? To answer the question it is the use of a bowl of water. You make sure that the bold is filled up halfway with water.
After that, reduce your hand or a stick to turn it. In a circular motion then you leave it for a few minutes. Some of the seeds will go down while some will float. Those seeds that float, they are bad. Those that are down. They are good for planting.
After the flowering stages, you see the seeds coming out gradually. That is when you can feel relaxed. it means your crop is growing up. And making good production at a slow piece.
There may be some obstacles along the line. One of them is that some of your okra crop, may not produce. You can watch them for a while. before cutting them off the farm. More also you must make sure that your farm is clean.
Okra plant survive more during the rainy season as other crops too. You can definitely go for them and see practically speaking.
