Old Path Bible Exposition of 9th Jan.2022

I thank the almighty God for the wonderful opportunity to be a pertaker of today's old path bible Exposition.

In the beginning of today's bible Exposition, brother Eli encouraged us to love God with all our hearts. He noted that previously people kills out of anger but these days, they have resorted to killing for fun. All this evil being done he attributed to people loving themselves. St. Paul said, a time will come when men shall be lovers of themselves and money and all sorts of irrelevant things.

Proceeding with the program, questions were raised.

In the question about the founder of the church, I learnt that it's all God who finds church. Noting that no human can find a church and churches found by humans are not the true church. The bible makes us understand that except the lord builds a house, the builder builds in vain. Most churches built by men are not following the way of God. Such churches he say worship idols such as images made for themselves.

The question about if we need baptism and confirmation if we are coming from another church, I learnt from Hebrews 5:13 that using milk makes a baby and that means when we find ourselves in such situations in church it means we are unskillful in the word of God. He refute infant baptism saying that one can't be baptized when he can't speak for himself. He noted that confirmation is not biblical, and said our confirmation is acceptance of Christ and living of a holy life.

In the question about the best reason to break a wrong relationship, I learnt that we do not need to entertain a wrong relationship. Noting that once we notice such relationship, we should put an end to it especially when it affects our family life. 1 Timothy 5:8. Any man that cannot provide for his house is worse than an infidel. So One need to take care of there responsibilities.

In the summary of today's teaching, I learnt that the only true church is about which is founded by God himself.
I also learnt that one should only be baptized when they can speak for themselves. And finally I learnt we should not keep unhealthy relationship that might affects us and our families.
