Live Prayer meeting held on 25 January 2022

Thanks be to God.

I bring you greetings as I write filled with the holy spirit from the wonderful words of God received in today's prayer meeting. It is my pleasure to share with you all things which I learnt and believes will be beneficial for us all

Protect the word of God in you
Just as we learnt today in the indoctrination service, the devil roams around looking for whom to devour. When we receives the word of God, we are advised to protect it and do not lose it, but to do that, we need to receive the word first because we cannot keep what we don't have.

Teaching of False Brethrens
Romans 16:18-20, made us understand that there are pretenders who claims to serve God but in reality they don't. This kind of people serve nothing but only their Belly. St. Paul in Romans 16:17 advised us to avoid those causes division and do not accept the teachings of Christ. He said, keep away from those who are against the doctrines for evil company corrupts good manners. 1 Corinthians 5:11, false brethrens, do not keep company with them whom are evil company. I also learnt today that Christ does not force anyone to accept the doctrines. In John 6:65-66 many who were following Christ went back and walked no more with him because they didn't accept the teachings he gave but Christ didn't force them. At that time, it was only the twelve who accepted the teachings and followed Christ. Today, we have been told not to be deceived because according to the sowers parable, if we are a good ground, we will keep the word.

The Coming of Christ
The Coming of Christ is known by no one except the father according to Matthew 24:36-37. In the pasted, there have been so many who claimed to know the date and hour of Christ coming but all those date passed, proving their claims false. The bible likens the coming of Christ to that of the thief visiting a house, no one knows when it will be.

Today, there is a standout statement which is in Matthew 24:44, it says keep watch and be ready. This statement is taken seriously because one can keep watch without being ready. To be an efficient watchman, one has to be ready.
Still explaining Christ coming and the need for preparations, Matthew 24:46 made us understand that blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. On that faithful day of Christ coming if anyone isn't prepared, he will weep. Today we were also advised not to be like the evil servant who says my Lord delays his coming and because of that goes about doing those things that have not been instructed. The faithful servant keeps watch and do the will of his master.
Remember the statement says keep watch and be ready. The story of the 10 maidens ( 5 wise and 5 unwise) in the bible explains what it means to keep watch and be ready, Matthew 25:1-2.

In conclusion, in the last day, those who are wise will be found ready when the Lord comes, so let's accept the word of God and prepare ourselves for the coming of our savior Jesus Christ. May God bless us all.
