Thanks be to God.
I bring you wishes of goodwill as I share with you this day the very few things I learnt from today's mass Indoctrination service.
Today's teaching is the doctrine of baptism
Baptism is the washing away of sins. This the foundation in which our christian faith is laid upon. Baptism is a renewal of our spirit in the Lord, which prepares us for doing the work of God. From Titus 3:5, I learnt that we live by the mercy of God who has saved us by Washing away regeneration sins and renewing the holy spirit of God in us
Baptism is a command from God himself and we as human are created to obey God's will. Ezra 7:23 teaches us to do all God's command diligently and in the house of God. This is why baptism is done in the church of God and by a person capable in God's work.
Christ before his ascension to heaven gave a command to his disciples to go into the world and baptism whoso ever that accepts in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. This gives the reason why God the father, God the son and holy ghost is being called upon when carrying out baptism. This is also in accordance to the verse from Matthew 28:19
Baptism not done the right way and in the right place is a waste of effort, because God himself gave the command and the order in which baptism should be carried out.
The second section of today's teaching warned against calling the name of God in Vain. This is a behavior many of us who claim to be believer of Christ do. We commit sin day by day by vainly called the Lord's name. This is also breaking one of the 10 commandments which God has given to us in the bible. Exodus 20:7 makes us understand that anyone who calls God's name in Vain is guilty of sin.
In conclusion, it's a day filled with Joy and blessings. I also want to thank God for seeing to his fourteen days journey through learning the doctrines which he has given to us. I hold at high regards the entire MCGI community and the man of God, brother Eli for all his wonderful teachings. I pray God grant us the spiritual backing to accept all that was taught and live our lives in accordance to his various commands.
