Bible study Held on 9th February 2022

Thanks be to God.
It's a joyful day as we enjoyed the very teachings of brother Eli. Today brother Eli Blessed the day with wonderful explanation of the word of God

From Isaiah 43:7, I understood that everyone of us are called to God's name. However it's not everyone who calls the name of the lord knows him. God created us all for his glory. God wants us to call to him as his children and he also wants us to be righteous while doing that. For this, everything we do here on earth should be for the glory of God. When we as God's children calls out to him, it pleases him that we seek his presence. However, calling the name of the lord should be want we do being careful because the bible warns us against calling the name of God in Vain. When we call the name of God in Vain, we sin against him and invites his wrath on ourselves.

Also, I learnt that God like to be called or referenced reasonably when it's necessary, Daniel 9:19. Calling the name of God is to be taken seriously and done with almost carefulness. God is always available to answer when we call on him. The call of a righteous man attacks the attention of God and he will forgive and not forsake such person. God himself named Christ and if only we human understands that, we will not dare to mention that name in Vain. One danger about using God's names for jokes is, when you really need him, because you have been joking with the name we will not answer you. So if one wants God to always answer his/her calls, they need to take the name seriously.

I also understood the saying that one with God is majority. From Isaiah 43:5-6 God assures the Israelites not to be afraid for him God is always with them. He said , I will bring thy seed from the east and gather them from the west. This assurance God gave they Israelites who obeys his command.

I also learnt that we should always examine ourselves to know if our ways is in accordance with that of God. One of the most important things we should be mindful of are those things that comes out from our mouths. How we talk and what we say are very important because the tongue has the power to destroy if used wrongly. As the people of God, our speech should represents God's true nature, not speaking evil with the tongue given to us.
