Splinterlands Fan-Art: SOLA RANJELL. Weekly Art Contest.

Hello friends.

How are you today?

I'm back again to share my artwork with you. Today, I've brought another one of my artworks to share with you. I drew a fan-art drawing of a SPLINTERLANDS monster to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. The name of this monster is SOLA RANJELL. I used my coloured pencils, watercolour and other necessary tools this time. You can also join the contest if you feel interested, I'll put the link to this week's contest at the end.

  • As a fan-art drawing, I've drawn the image with my imagination and in a new look. I took inspiration from some previous contestants and tried to create my version of the card. I'll share both the original and my edition below so it's easy for you to understand and compare. I'll also include the steps of my drawing and explain them. Let's begin:-

My Drawing

Tools:

  • A4-sized offset paper.
  • 2B pencil.
  • 4B pencil.
  • Colored Pencils.
  • Watercolor.

My Drawing Steps:

  • At first I sketched the frame/structure of my drawing. Using a 2B pencil. I started with the character's face while I completed the drawing of her eyes too. I wanted the character to make it as simple as possible while giving her a cute look too. I was sure to keep that warrior vibe with her beauty and tried to make her eyes as much attractive as possible. To draw her face tone I used my watercolour and brushes as you can see in the image. I use both watercolour and coloured pencils in my drawings. Because pencil helps me to visualize the sharp details and watercolour helps me to give my character's skin or body parts a smooth texture. And to draw the eyebrows I used my 4B pencil.
  • Then I used my coloured pencils to draw the crown on her head. I used several pencils to bring out the golden vibe and also the shades.

  • I drew the hairs completely using my coloured pencils. I gave her hair a cherry red colour. I hope this colour suits her. To bring out a fine outcome I drew her hair in three steps by layering them on each other.
  • In this part I Finalized her hair, dress and necklace. I drew the hair and necklace part using coloured pencils and the dress using watercolour.

Final Part:

  • In this part I gave a final touch to bring out the cherry red vibe in her hair and also added the background.

  • Here's another important thing. I took the inspiration for this drawing from one of @brataka's post.

I really hope that you liked my drawing and enjoyed reading my post. And as always I'm open to any suggestion or criticism. I always try to learn from them. And thanks to the @splinterlands team for arranging such a contest for the artists to show their skills.

Thank You.

Magnificent, although I do not do it very often even so I am a fan of traditional art and no doubt this is a great piece, the proportions and colors were very well, and the eyes were what I liked most; I congratulate you and I wish you luck for this week ... saludos✌🏽👋🏽

Wow that is very pretty! Whenever I look into her eyes, her eyes tell me "If you try to mess with me or my friends, I am going to hit you where it hurts." She looks really badass. I love it how there is so much detail! untitled.gif Keep up the good work @martina-sigulin! :)
