Lux Vega. Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest. Fan-Art

Hello Everyone.

How Are You?

I'm really amazed to see how much you all liked my previous one. I'm really honored. I didn't have much free time to make another one instantly. But, I somehow managed some free time and created this new drawing that I want to share with you too. The character I drew today is named Lux Vega. This one is also a card of Splinterlands and I made a fan version of the original card.

I'm sharing this creation of mine to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands and also to share my skills around the blockchain community. I'll add both my creation and the original image below so that you can compare them easily. Hope You will like my work.

I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus touch drawing pen, and the iBis Paint software to create this drawing. I'll share the steps of my work below serially and walk you through the whole process. So, stay tuned and enjoy.

  • First of all I used a charcoal pencil tool on the app to create a sketch of the structure. This first process is the most time-consuming and difficult one. The whole drawing depends on it and this step defines the final quality of your work. So, you need to be cautious and 100% accurate while completing this step. This takes a lot of time and I need to erase and re-draw a lot while working on this first step.

  • Then I started working on the background and her skin tone. I put the primary color on the body part and background. Now, it's time to bring out the texture and skin tone with some color variants and shades. As you can see in the second image I worked with her facial skin tone and her eyes. I used some deeper skin color and white colors with smooth brush tools to create a glossy texture. It was her eyes that took me quite some time to complete.
  • Now that I'm finished working with her face and eyes, it's time to work on her hair and full body skin tone. I started with her hair and made them long too only with coloring tools. It was not a part of the sketch cause I decided to make this change while I was drawing. Then I also added some light and dark colors on her skin to bring out the shades and curves. They might look like random strokes to you cause they still need the final finishing touch. And don't worry about the black shade on her chest. It's a part of her attire which you'll be able to see in the next steps.
  • And now, it's time to color her clothing parts including the hat she's wearing. I now need to draw the basic shapes of her clothes and then put the design on them. And this is exactly what I did in the first image. And then to bring out the original color of them I started with her hat. I did the final touch on it and it's now ready.
  • Now it's time to fix the skin tone of her body and add some design to her dress. I fixed the skin tone and her breast shape too. And added some simple designs on the end parts of her clothes. Then in the next image, you'll be able to see that I completed the part of her hands too including drawing the bracelates she's wearing.
  • You may have noticed that there are still some parts of her clothes missing colors. That's because they are different colors and I'll complete them in this step. For that part, I used separate colors and a sponge brush tool. The three colors were black, white, and sky blue. I then randomly tapped mixing those colors and brought out this final outcome. I didn't wear a sharp single-color cloth and that's the reason I drew it like this. I also started to work on those magical sticks on her back. In the original image, she has a magical stick in her hand and I modified the idea and put 2 sticks on her back like a swordsman.

Final Image

  • And with some final touch on the background, this is the final result.
