Hola amigos hivers, hoy les contare sobre el dia que fui a la grita en el día principal del patrono del Táchira, Santo Cristo de la Grita (Rostro Sereno). El día del santo cristo de la grita son todos los 6 de agosto, por lo cual este año está cumpliendo 413 años, está ubicado en la ciudad de La grita, municipio Jáuregui, Estado Táchira.

Hello friends hivers, today I will tell you about the day I went to La grita on the main day of the patron saint of Táchira, Santo Cristo de la Grita (Rostro Sereno). Esta ciudad se encuentra rodeada de montañas luciendo un paisaje espectacular, con un clima muy agradable, casi siempre hace un frio que gusta. Esta ciudad, desde días antes al día principal comienza a recibir a peregrinos que van desde diferentes localidades del estado, como de diferentes regiones del país, incluso devotos del santo caminan kilómetros, caminando desde su lugar de residencia o pueblos más cercanos a la grita, para realizar promesas o en pago de favores recibidos. El día principal para celebrar la fiesta del patrono, se reúne una cantidad multitudinaria para celebrar este día tan especial para los católicos.

This city is surrounded by mountains showing off a spectacular landscape, with a very pleasant climate, it is almost always cold. This city, from days before the main day begins to receive pilgrims who come from different localities of the state, as from different regions of the country, even devotees of the saint walk kilometers, walking from their place of residence or towns closer to the grita, to make promises or in payment for favors received. On the main day to celebrate the feast of the patron saint, a large number of people gather to celebrate this special day for Catholics.

En mi caso, me desplace en moto hasta la grita, saliendo a las 7:00 de la mañana con una duración del recorrido aproximadamente de una hora y cuarenta minutos, no llegue en moto hasta el monumento al Santo cristo de la grita ya que en el desvió, donde está la entrada a la grita y el cobre, no había paso para circular los vehículos, por lo tanto solo había acceso caminando, de esta manera se guardó la moto y caminamos de este punto hasta llegar al sitio, la caminata fue de aproximadamente de dos kilómetros, todo el recorrido fue con un desnivel no muy pronunciado, durante este pequeño recorrido se encontraban diferentes puntos de hidratación (agua y naranjas).

Para mí era primera vez que iba en el día principal y primera vez que visitaba el templo en este día, por lo cual había multitud de personas, a la espera de la eucaristía dada por los diferentes párrocos y la máxima autoridad de la iglesia católica en el estado Táchira Monseñor Mario Moronta. A todo esto, fue un día agradable, visitar al santo en su dia, y todo lo bonito de los paisajes que ofrece la grita para observar.

For me it was the first time I went on the main day and the first time I visited the temple on this day, so there was a crowd of people waiting for the Eucharist given by the different parish priests and the highest authority of the Catholic Church in the state of Táchira, Monsignor Mario Moronta. All in all, it was a nice day, visiting the saint on his day, and all the beautiful scenery that offers the grita to observe.
