Mowed The Lawn One Last Time Before Winter

The headline says it. I also emptied the flower pots and washed them. The soil is in that pile in the upper right. I bagged the plants and I'm going to take them to the dump most likely next week.

The Mrs was correcting papers and had no time for this this week.

In the coming weeks all those leaves that are turning yellow now will fall and I'm going to be busy raking and bagging them for disposal. When the leaves are gone, the season will be over. At that point, the canopy, the patio table and the chairs will be taken to storage.

I'm glad I didn't get rid of the old table you can see on the right. It served me well when I built the fence.

The yard will be looking quite different during the snowy season. If next winter is as snowy as last winter, I'm going to have to figure out how to protect the one section of the fence which is right under heavy snow falling from the roof in the spring. I'm probably going to fut the fence temporarily where the snow is going to fall so as not to have the weight of the falling snow tear down that section completely. When all the snow has fallen from the roof, I'll probably use cable ties to reattach the two sides.
