Esta semana el amigo @lanzjoseg nos trae un rifle de fabricación casera, no hace daño directamente a la humanidad pero si trae efectos colaterales, para el que lo usa y para quienes presenciamos su manipulación.
La gomera o rifle de aire comprimido más que algo deportivo es una calamidad y desgracia para la fauna silvestre, no son juguetes, son armas que algunas personas utilizan como hobby para pura diversión no para defensa ni supervivencia, yo amante de la naturaleza que amo el bullicio de las aves cuando hacen su migración bien sea en la mañana cuando alegran y animan mis largas caminatas o en la tarde cuando me siento en mi jardín a verlas pasar en manadas, me pregunto donde esta la diversión de utilizar rifles de aire comprimido o gomeras para atacar, matar y asustar a las aves? Evolucione most raza, dejemos ese mal hábito.

Sporting Bird Hunting This week, our friend @lanzjoseg brings us a homemade rifle. It doesn't directly harm humanity, but it does have collateral effects, both for the user and for those of us who witness its handling. The slingshot or air rifle, more than a sporting activity, is a calamity and a disgrace to wildlife. They are not toys; they are weapons that some people use as a hobby for pure fun, not for defense or survival. As a nature lover who adores the sounds of birds during their migration, whether in the morning when they brighten and enliven my long walks or in the afternoon when I sit in my garden watching them pass in flocks, I ask myself, where is the fun in using air rifles or slingshots to attack, kill, and scare birds? Evolve, my people; let's abandon this bad habit.

Si pudiéramos hacer catastasis y reflexionar sobre lo dañino que son las gomeras o rifle de aire para la fauna y los ecosistemas, imaginemos lo hermoso que es ver en la puerta de tu casa, en el patio o jardín, un gonzalito, perdiz, alcarabanes, guacharacas, pericos, loros, guacamayas, cristofue, carpintero, paralauta, cucarachero, azulejo, tordos, turpiales, cardenal, canarios, siempre soy bendecida con ese tipo de visitas sacando de la lista guacayas y loros que solo los he visto volar muy de cerca, vivo cerca de un Morichal por eso tengo ese privilegio pero también he visto aves muertas, cojas, con alas rotas que no pueden volar con facilidad porque han sido atacadas por humanos que solo buscan saciar su instinto... Conectemos más con la naturaleza atrapemos aves pero solo en una fotografía con una cámara o con nuestro móvil contribuyamos a la conservación de la biodiversidad.

If we could pause and reflect on how harmful slingshots or air rifles are to wildlife and ecosystems, imagine how beautiful it is to see a gonzalito, partridge, thick-knee, chachalaca, parakeet, parrot, macaw, kiskadee, woodpecker, parakeet, wren, bluebird, thrush, oriole, cardinal, or canary right outside your door, in your yard, or in your garden. I'm always blessed with these kinds of visits, except for macaws and parrots, which I've only ever seen flying very close up. I live near a moriche palm grove, so I have that privilege. But I've also seen dead birds, lame birds, birds with broken wings that can't fly easily because they've been attacked by humans who are only trying to satisfy their instincts. Let's connect more with nature. Let's capture birds, but only in a photograph with a camera or our cell phones. Let's contribute to the conservation of biodiversity.
