Concurso de la comunidad Ladies of Hive #297 / Ladies of Hive Community Contest #297
Greetings, esteemed @ladiesofhive community! This is the perfect opportunity for me to participate in the community's weekly quiz with questions hosted by @ifarmgirl.

1- What feelings or emotions do you find most difficult to open up about, and what helps make it easier to share them? Perhaps the feeling or emotion that I find most difficult to talk about is guilt. I think it's a very complex, human, challenging, and uncomfortable emotion, whether it stems from our own mistakes or the bad decisions or actions we take. Talking about it exposes us, shows our weaknesses, but it also helps us recognize and repair our behavior. Personally, I take responsibility for every decision I make, every action I take, or every word I speak. But I don't always feel guilty because I do something wrong, but rather because I do something different from what others expect of me. Guilt is a very complex emotion; many of us take it as a responsibility without understanding the weight it places on us. Sometimes, to avoid upsetting anyone, to support others, I keep quiet or silence my emotions, I act against myself, and I find it difficult to express my true feelings. I become separated from everything that dwells within me, from my entire essence, and I struggle to acknowledge and defend my reality to others. Although I find it difficult to talk about guilt, it is a feeling I have carried all my life and in different circumstances it is part of my being.

2- What food or dish are you loyal to for life and why? In my country, Venezuela, we have a food called cachapa, which is made from sweet, juicy, freshly cut tender corn. It originated with the indigenous peoples who, in their time, ground the tender corn on stones and cooked it on hot, flat stones or clay griddles. My ancestors cooked it the same way. I am the daughter of two farmers, a native of the countryside, although I moved to the city when I was very young.
My connection to the land and the countryside has always been present; my roots remain anchored there. For me, the cachapa is that food to which I am one hundred percent loyal. It evokes vivid memories and is perfect for those days when I need more than food; I need a hug or a home where I can return and feel welcome. Its flavor transports me to happy moments, history, tradition, culture, childhood, adolescence—it's my entire past. With each bite, I bring many emotions to my present, filling me with longing and nostalgia, but also with happiness and joy. To make cachapas, you have to plant the corn or buy it fresh at the supermarket, peel it, chop it, and grind it. Electric and manual mills are available now, so we no longer have to do it on stones. Then, prepare the dough with sugar and salt, spread it on a griddle or pan, cook it on both sides, and then sit down to enjoy it with butter, cheese, cream, fried pork, stewed chicken, or any side dish you like.
What I can assure you is that it's delicious. By the way, we're in planting season, so soon we'll harvest and eat cachapas made with freshly cut corn.

I also live with handling guilt that is associated with my sons as the only bread winner working long shifts in Healthcare work. The many times I cannot be present when they achieve some important milestones. Breaking promises of special activities or plans. Working for extra overtime paid hours on holidays. It is my greatest regret. They are adults and still living with me, my opportunity to make up the lost time.
Than you for sharing @mariperez316
