Saludos y bendiciones comunidad de @ladiesofhive, siempre es gusto unirme al concurso semanal, para dar respuesta a las preguntas, en esta oportunidad la dama @priyanarc me sorprende con un unas interesantes opciones, yo participaré dando respuesta a la segunda opción.

Greetings and blessings to the @ladiesofhive community! It's always a pleasure to join the weekly contest and answer the questions. This time, the lady @priyanarc surprised me with some interesting options, and I will participate by answering the second one.

¿Alguna vez has gastado dinero en un pasatiempo pensando: "¡Sí, esto va a cambiar mi vida!" ...¿sólo para darte cuenta más tarde de que fue un error gracioso?
La jardinería no es solo un pasatiempo para mí, es algo con lo que crecí junto a mi mamá, abueta y tías, mis mejores recuerdos los creé en un jardín o en un campo abierto lleno de plantas ornamentales, frutales, verduras y aromáticas junto a ellas.
Así que desde siempre he amado las plantas, la naturaleza cuando tuve mi primera casa quise construir mi propio huerto y jardín, invertí mucho dinero en plantas ornamentales, en masetas, cestas, accesorios y abono, semillas, bellas plantas que no duraron mucho conmigo porque había mucho bachacos ( hormiga grande que le fascina cortar y cargar hojas), ellos en una sola noche acabaron lo que yo tarde varios días en construir así que en una noche quede sin mi dinero, sin plantas, sin pasatiempo, con mucha frustración y tenía que soportar los comentarios de mi familia y conocidos cargados de verdades, sarcasmo y un poco de burla por haber querido sembrar en un sitio con mucho bachacos, en realidad en mi casa no habían muchos hasta que intente ser jardinero, quise seguir el legado que me dejaron mis ancestros.

Have you ever spent money on a hobby thinking, "Yes, this is going to change my life!"... only to realize later that it was a funny mistake? Gardening isn't just a hobby for me; it's something I grew up with alongside my mom, grandma, and aunts. My best memories are made in a garden or an open field full of ornamental plants, fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs. So I've always loved plants and nature. When I got my first house, I wanted to build my own garden and vegetable patch. I invested a lot of money in ornamental plants, pots, baskets, accessories, fertilizer, seeds, and beautiful plants that didn't last long with me because there were so many leafcutter ants (large ants that love to cut and carry leaves). In a single night, they destroyed what I had spent several days building. So, in one night, I was left without my money, without plants, without a hobby, with a lot of frustration, and I had to endure the comments from my family and acquaintances, full of truth, sarcasm, and a bit of mockery for having wanted to plant in a place with so many leafcutter ants. Actually, there weren't many at my house until I tried being a gardener. I wanted to continue the legacy my ancestors left me.

No me daba por vencida con mi intención de tener jardín, volví a invertir, una y otra vez, invertí en insecticida para exterminar a los bachacos, compré nuevamente mis plantas, duraron algunos meses los bachacos regresaron, los combatia y se guían viniendo, se me hizo imposible exterminarlos estaban alrededor en las casas vecinas y llegaban a mi casa.

I didn't give up on my intention of having a garden, I reinvested, again and again, I invested in insecticide to exterminate the leafcutter ants, I bought my plants again, they lasted a few months, the leafcutter ants returned, I fought them and they kept coming, it became impossible for me to exterminate them, they were all around in the neighboring houses and they came to my house.

Deje de comprar plantas para los bachacos hasta que me mudé y cumplí mi sueño tener mi jardín, plantas con flores, con hojas verdes y de colores, empecé a coleccionar cactus, me fascinan los cactus y suculentas me parecen plantas resistentes, persistentes aparte de hermosas, las hay en diferentes formas, son adaptativas y fáciles de cultivar, sol directo, masetas con buen drenaje y poca agua, hice de ellas mi pasatiempo favorito, mi hobby.
Hoy en día tengo algunos cactus y suculentas en mi jardín, he ido bajado mi intensidad de coleccionista, he regalado algunos, no compro muchas, eso si mi pasión por las plantas sigue igual, en mi jardín consigo minutos de paz y plenitud que solo la naturaleza puede ofrecer, no lo hago como hobby sino por apostar a mi bienestar.

I stopped buying plants for the leafcutter ants until I moved and fulfilled my dream of having my own garden—plants with flowers, with green and colorful leaves. I started collecting cacti; I'm fascinated by cacti and succulents. I find them to be hardy, persistent plants, besides being beautiful. They come in different shapes, are adaptable, and easy to grow—direct sun, pots with good drainage, and little water. I made them my favorite pastime, my hobby. These days I have a few cacti and succulents in my garden. I've slowed down my collecting, given some away, and don't buy many. But my passion for plants remains the same. In my garden, I find moments of peace and fulfillment that only nature can offer. I don't do it as a hobby, but as an investment in my well-being.
