En Venezuela tenemos un instrumento musical de percusión de origen indígena, muy usado como acompañante de nuestra música folklórica o llanera nuestro joropo nacional realmente no sé en cuál otro país lo conocen y con que nombre, nosotros lo conocemos como las maracas, es un tipo sonajero.
Están hechas del fruto de la planta de tapara y rellena de semillas secas de otra planta llamada capacho, con un pequeño palo de madera por el cuál se manipulan
El sonido musical se produce al agitarlas con ritmo según la melodía desees sacar o vallas acompañar.
Se pueden sacar muchos ritmos caribeños cómo salsa , boleros, la cumbia, el joropo y el cachamba, entre otros.

In Venezuela we have a percussion musical instrument of indigenous origin, widely used as an accompaniment to our folkloric or llanera music our national joropo I really don't know in which other country they know it and by what name, we know it as the maracas, it's a rattle type.
They are made from the fruit of the tapara plant and filled with the dry seeds of another plant called capacho, with a small wooden stick by which they are manipulated.
The musical sound is produced by shaking them rhythmically depending on the melody you want to play or accompany.
You can get many Caribbean rhythms such as salsa, boleros, cumbia, joropo and cachamba, among others.

¿Sabes cómo jugarlo? O tocarlo?
Cada maraca en una mano y sacudir con movimientos osculatorios, con fuerza según el ritmo o género que se quiera tocar
Se dice que hay una maraca macho y una hembra, porque siempre en el par hay una más aguda (hembra) que la otra.

Do you know how to play it? Or touch it?
Each maraca in one hand and shake with osculating movements, forcefully according to the rhythm or genre that you want to play
It is said that there is a male and a female rattle, because in the pair there is always one more acute (female) than the other.

¿crees que hay límites para aprender a tocarlo?
Creo que los límites los ponemos nosotros mismos aprender a tocar
Cualquier instrumento no tiene una edad precisa, es mas a una edad avanzada es una excelente oportunidad de aprovechar el tiempo libre, no existe ningún tipo de limitación para aprender a tocar el instrumento que siempre has querido tocar, el único requisito para hacerlo es tener muchas ganas de aprender y experimentar un nuevo hobby, aunque debo reconocer que hay quienes nacen con ese talento o don y lo desarrollan desde pequeños.

Do you think there are limits to learning to play it?
I think we set the limits ourselves learning to play
Any instrument does not have a precise age, in fact, at an advanced age it is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of free time, there is no type of limitation to learn to play the instrument that you have always wanted to play, the only requirement to do so is to have many desire to learn and experience a new hobby, although I must admit that there are those who are born with that talent or gift and develop it from an early age.
