14 de febrero día del amor y la amistad/February 14th, Valentine's Day

Llegó febrero y también el día del amor y la amistad, la imagen que nos muestra el amigo @lanzjoseg creo que es alusivo a esta celebración, puedo observa muchos sobres con corazones sobre una mesa, debe para repartirlos ente amigos o familiares.

February has arrived, and so has Valentine's Day. The image shared by our friend @lanzjoseg seems to allude to this celebration. I can see many envelopes with hearts on a table, presumably to be given to friends or family.

Aquí les comparto un poco de historia de esta conmemoración cristiana y de San Valentín sacerdote valiente que defendió el cristianismo a costa de su propia vida.
San Valentín fue un Obispo que se dedicó al servicio de su comunidad, fue un buen pastor su vida la dedicó a realizar obras a favor de la gente, ayudó a los mártires cristianos, defendió el sacramento del matrimonio unió en secreto a muchas parejas de enamorados, impartió el cristianismo en un mundo donde imperaba un sistema politeista donde se adoraba a diferentes Dioses, causa principal por lo cual se ordena su captura y posterior ejecución.

Here I share a bit of history about this Christian commemoration and about Saint Valentine, a courageous priest who defended Christianity at the cost of his own life. Saint Valentine was a bishop who dedicated himself to serving his community. He was a good shepherd who devoted his life to doing good works for the people. He helped Christian martyrs, defended the sacrament of marriage, secretly united many couples in love, and spread Christianity in a world where a polytheistic system prevailed, where different gods were worshipped. This was the main reason why his capture and subsequent execution were ordered.

En sus días en prisión fue atendido por la hija de uno de los carceleros, ella era ciega, le llevaba comida, mensajes de afuera y desarrollaron una bonita amistad, la noche de su ejecución San Valentín le escribió un mensaje de despedida el cual concluyó con "con cariño de tu Valentín" también cuenta la leyenda que las rejas no impidieron seguir con su doctrina convirtió a muchos carceleros en cristianos, le devolvió la vista a su amiga, San Valentín ese valiente sacerdote no negoció sus principios se mantuvo firme en su fé cristiana , no dudó en retractarse aun sabiendo que lo que le venía era muerte. El 14 de febrero fue decapatido en manos del paganismo romano.
Es por eso que San Valentín día de los enamorados y de la amistad se celebra cada 14 de febrero en varios países alrededor del mundo, para homenajear a este santo cristiano San Valentín que fue martirizado en Roma en el siglo II por el gobierno del Emperador Claudio.
El 14 de febrero, día de San Valentín es netamente una celebración cristiana y muy católica, es un momento propicio para expresar los sentimientos de cariño, amor, aprecio y valoración tejeroa nuestros seres queridos.

During his time in prison, he was cared for by the daughter of one of the jailers. She was blind, and he brought her food and messages from the outside. They developed a beautiful friendship. On the night of his execution, Saint Valentine wrote her a farewell message, which ended with "with love from your Valentine." Legend also says that the bars did not prevent him from continuing his teachings; he converted many jailers to Christianity and restored his friend's sight. Saint Valentine, this courageous priest, did not compromise his principles; he remained firm in his Christian faith and did not hesitate to recant, even knowing that death awaited him. On February 14th, he was beheaded by the Roman pagans. That is why Saint Valentine, the day of lovers and friendship, is celebrated every February 14th in various countries around the world, to honor this Christian saint, Saint Valentine, who was martyred in Rome in the 2nd century under the rule of Emperor Claudius. February 14th, Valentine's Day, is a purely Christian and very Catholic celebration; it is an opportune moment to express feelings of affection, love, appreciation, and value to our loved ones.
