Existen muchos lugares que por el solo hecho de ser desconocidos los visualizamos como altamente arriesgados. Generalmente le tememos a lo que no está bajo nuestro control. Por ejemplo, he recibido muchas invitaciones a visitar un país, pero he escuchado de su historia de parte de personas que hacían vida allá. Me decían que llegaron al punto que era normal para sus moradores ver cuerpos muertos tirados en la calle, que secuestraban a los jóvenes para adoctrinarlos en sus grupos y el que no se amoldaba lo mataban.
Esas historias que sí eran reales no sucedían en todo el país, pero mi mente de aquel entonces imaginaba un lugar imposible de vivir en paz y me preguntaba ¿Cómo pueden estar así? Hoy me doy cuenta que se exageraba la verdad de la situación y se ocultaban otra. Actualmente tengo familia en ese país y mi perspectiva ha cambiado un poco después de analizar la región, la cultura y observar con lógica, el país tiene millones de habitantes. Se puede formar familias seguras en él. La verdad es que fui tan influenciada y afectada con la historia de esa tierra que aun sabiendo que la gente hace su vida con normalidad como cualquier otro ciudadano de cualquier otra nación, no me veo ni en mis sueños visitando ese lugar.
Otros lugar que para mí es realmente un terreno peligro son las llamadas “trochas”, tomadas por grupos paramilitares con supuestos principios que no deben ser violentados bajo ningún concepto, si alguien le roba a una persona que esté pasando por ese lugar la forma de dar una lección a los demás es literalmente desaparecerlo. Sabemos que no tienen nada que ver que principios ni con proteger a nadie más que a sus propios intereses, ya que ese paso es una mina de oro para quien o quienes lo tienen bajo su mando. No es permitido robarle a nadie porque sencillamente les trae mala fama.
Se crea desconfianza y la gente buscara las formas más seguras y por ende legales, cosa que no es conveniente para el negocio. Tomando en cuenta el crecimiento que ha tenido con la gran diáspora y las fronteras cerradas, las ganancias son tan alta que se han sumado más grupos para su control. Es un terreno muy peligroso para quienes no conocen sus reglas.

There are many places that we visualize as highly risky just because they are unknown. We are generally afraid of what is not under our control. For example, I have received many invitations to visit a country, but I have heard of its history from people who lived there. They told me that they got to the point that it was normal for their inhabitants to see dead bodies lying in the street, that they kidnapped young people to indoctrinate them into their groups and that if they did not conform they killed them.
Those stories that were real did not happen all over the country, but my mind back then imagined a place impossible to live in peace and I wondered how could they be like that? Today I realize that they exaggerated the truth of the situation and hid another. Today I have family in that country and my perspective has changed a bit after analyzing the region, the culture and observing logically, the country has millions of inhabitants. It is possible to form safe families there. The truth is that I was so influenced and affected by the history of that land that even knowing that the people go about their lives as normal as any other citizen of any other nation, I don't see myself even in my dreams visiting that place.
Another place that for me is really a dangerous land are the so-called "trochas", taken by paramilitary groups with supposed principles that should not be violated under any circumstances, if someone steals from a person who is passing through that place the way to teach a lesson to others is to literally disappear. We know that they have nothing to do with principles or with protecting anyone but their own interests, since that passage is a gold mine for whoever or whoever has it under their command. It is not allowed to steal from anyone because it simply brings them a bad reputation.
It creates distrust and people will look for the safest and therefore legal ways, which is not convenient for the business. Considering the growth it has had with the large diaspora and the closed borders, the profits are so high that more groups have joined to control it. It is a very dangerous terrain for those who do not know its rules.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Tienes mucha tela que cortar con ese tema y si, hay muchas normas en ciertos lugares que parecen protejer a la gente pero solo proteje los intereses de quien la implanta y ejerce, un ejemplo de ello también son las minas y muchos otros lugares.
