[ESP/ENG] Gastronomic traditions and family beliefs during Holy Week. 🕊️

Bendiciones para todos los hivers que nos acompañan en esta hermosa comunidad @family-Friends compartiendo nuestras experiencias durante cada día en compañía de amigos y familiares, el día de hoy estaré compartiendo con ustedes las tradiciones familiares que se cumplen en mi hogar a través gastronomía y creencias durante esta temporada de Semana Santa, en la antigüedad estas fechas eran muy respetadas por nuestros ancestros, con el pasar del tiempo todo ha cambiado un poco en la sociedad, sin embargo en algunos hogares se siguen respetando ciertas tradiciones durante estas fechas que resaltan la fé y costumbres.

Blessings to all the hivers who join us in this beautiful community @family-Friends sharing our experiences during each day in the company of friends and family, today I will be sharing with you the family traditions that are fulfilled in my home through gastronomy and beliefs during this Easter season, in ancient times these dates were very respected by our ancestors, with the passage of time everything has changed a bit in society, however in some homes are still respecting certain traditions during these dates that highlight the faith and customs.

Durante esta semana se realizan actos religiosos en las diferentes iglesias que permiten que los feligreses radiquen su fé y promesas ante un mundo mejor, aunque esta es una semana de vacaciones para muchas personas donde aprovechan de ir a la playa, rio, viajes, parques, ferias y muchos más en búsqueda de diversión y relajación, cosas que me gustan hacer con amigos y familiares, sin embargo en mi hogar se cumple estrictamente que el jueves santos y viernes Santo compartimos todos en familia en casa, evitamos salir por respeto a la creencias.

During this week religious acts take place in the different churches that allow the parishioners to express their faith and promises for a better world, although this is a vacation week for many people where they take the opportunity to go to the beach, river, trips, parks, fairs and many more in search of fun and relaxation, things that I like to do with friends and family, however in my home it is strictly enforced that on Holy Thursday and Good Friday we all share at home as a family, we avoid going out out out of respect for the beliefs.

Una parte importante de esta Semana Santa es la gastronomía, la cual radica en el consumo de pescado evitando carnes rojas, de esta manera organizamos un gran festín de almuerzo en casa de mis suegros, dónde toda la familia se encontraba presente mi cuñada, mis hijos, esposo, concuñado, preparamos algunos tipos de pescados frescos como corocoro, tajali, carite, ya que somos afortunados por vivir en una región costera tenemos como actividad económica la pesca y podemos adquirir el pescado bien fresco, aunque en estas temporadas altas los precios son un poco mas elevados, pero como tradicion hacemos el esfuerzo de comprar para seguir nuestras costumbres.

An important part of this Holy Week is the gastronomy, which lies in the consumption of fish avoiding red meats, in this way we organized a great lunch feast at my in-laws house, where the whole family was present my sister-in-law, my children, husband, brother-in-law, we prepared some types of fresh fish such as corocoro, tajali, carite, since we are fortunate to live in a coastal region we have fishing as an economic activity and we can buy the fish very fresh, although in these high seasons the prices are a little higher, but as tradition we make the effort to buy to follow our customs.

También quisimos preparar algunos contornos para acompañar este pescado, tal como unas arepas fritas, tostones, ensalada, refresco y un jugo de papelón que no puede faltar como bebida refrescante y tradicional del oriente, todo quedó sumamente sabroso ☺️ compartiendo esta época de sanación espiritual en familia, fortaleciendo nuestros vínculos y llevando nuestras tradiciones a nuevas generaciones.

We also wanted to prepare some contours to accompany this fish, such as fried arepas, tostones, salad, soda and a juice of papelón that can not miss as a refreshing and traditional drink of the east, everything was extremely tasty ☺️ sharing this time of spiritual healing as a family, strengthening our ties and bringing our traditions to new generations.
