Czwartek ciepły ale burzowy, niemniej spacer bardzo udany - My Actifit Report Card: July 31 2025

Thursday was warm but stormy, but the walk was a success

I had to split today's walk into two parts for a simple reason: a storm hit me. I left the house before noon and had to quickly evacuate after less than half an hour.

Dzisiejszy spacer musiałem podzielić na 2 części, z prozaicznej przyczyny - dorwała mnie burza. Wyszedłem z domu przed południem i niespełna po pół godzinie musiałem szybko się ewakuować.

What's more interesting is that the storms are very small and local, because when I got a little drizzle in the park, it was dry near the house.

Co ciekawsze, burze są bardzo małe i lokalne, bo gdy w parku mnie lekko zlało, koło domu było sucho.

There's an interesting phenomenon in some of the ponds in Silesian Park, which I think I wrote about in the spring. There are fish swimming there, and interestingly, in addition to the usual gray ones, orange and other colorful ones have appeared. I assume they're warm-weather fish and will be caught in the fall, because in winter they'd look like Han Solo from Star Wars.

Ciekawe zjawisko w Parku Śląskim w niektórych oczkach wodnych, o którym chyba pisałem wiosną. A mianowicie pływają tam rybki, i tu ciekawostka, oprócz zwykłych szarych pojawiły się pomarańczowe i inne kolorowe. Zakładam, że są ciepłolubne, i zostaną jesienią odłowione, bo w zimie wyglądałyby jak Han Solo z Gwiezdnych Wojen.

Unfortunately, my bird friends didn't show up at all today. I don't know what happened. We'll see tomorrow.

Niestety moim ptasi podopieczni dzisiaj znowu nie pojawili się w ogóle. Nie wiem co się stało. Zobaczymy jutro.

I also found an interesting species of tree fungus, some kind of fungus called a tinder fungus, which is pink underneath. I need to find out what kind of fungus it is.

Znalazłem też ciekawy gatunek grzyba nadrzewnego, jakiegoś hubiaka, który pod spodem jest różowy. Muszę sprawdzić co to za gagatek.
