Hola amigos de hive, ¿cómo están? Espero que todo les esté yendo bien, hoy traigo conmigo el proceso de mi fanart de Thaddius Brood para seguir con el reto de @splinterlands, este personaje me encantó por su historia ya que está relacionado con rituales y macabras ceremonias oscuras condenado a la locura por un ente que lo consumió, ¿a quién no le ha interesado saber algo del ocultismo alguna vez en su vida?, a este punto el personaje me pareció interesante y decidí dibujarle.

I hope everything is going well, today I bring with me the process of my fanart of Thaddius Brood to continue with the challenge of @splinterlands, I loved this character because of its history as it is related to rituals and macabre dark ceremonies condemned to madness by an entity that consumed him, who has not been interested in knowing something about the occult sometime in his life, at this point the character seemed interesting and I decided to draw him.

Como acostumbro fui por mi libreta, portaminas y borrador y me puse manos a la obra, busqué algunas referencias en pinterest, conseguí dos que me gustaron, una la hice de una imagen común y la otra ya era un boceto hecho por un artista aquí dejo las referencias. Hice un bosquejo de su rostro para tener más facilidad al dibujar el personaje en digital, aquí está el modelo inicial del personaje.

As usual I went for my notebook, mechanical pencil and eraser and got down to work, I looked for some references on pinterest, I got two that I liked, one I made from a common image and the other was already a sketch made by an artist, here I leave the references. I made a sketch of his face to make it easier to draw the character in digital, here is the initial model of the character.

1# Boceto/Sketch

Con esta imagen me decidí por la primera pose y al tomar fotos a la hoja pasé lo que hice en tradicional al digital.

With this image I decided on the first pose and when I took photos of the leaf I transferred what I did in traditional to digital.

Lineart

Como pueden ver según el boceto fue evolucionando de forma digital añadí detalles y corregí algunos desperfectos, para el lineart use el lápiz de grafito e intensifiqué cada trazo del bosquejo. Hay detalles como el ojo y la sonrisa que lo hacen ver menos poseído pero quise agregar cierta personificación al personaje.

As you can see as the sketch evolved digitally I added details and corrected some flaws, for the lineart I used the graphite pencil and intensified each stroke of the sketch. There are details like the eye and the smile that make him look less possessed but I wanted to add some personification to the character.

Para los colores de Thaddius me apegue a su estética original, conservando los colores que ya posee pero agregando detalles con colores diferentes en elementos más discretos, los ojos rojos, el color fucsia en sus cuernos, el color azul en el pantalón por mencionar algunos es parte de jugar con los aspectos del personaje.

For the colors of Thaddius I stuck to his original aesthetics, keeping the colors he already has but adding details with different colors in more discreet elements, the red eyes, the fuchsia color in his horns, the blue color in the pants to mention a few is part of playing with the aspects of the character.

Con respecto a los pinceles usé para la base de la piel el bolígrafo de tinta, me sirvió para rellenar, a continuación en el contraste de la piel y la combinación de otros colores usé el lápiz de grafito conjunto al difuminado, para la camisa quise darle un toque diferente usé el pincel de óleo grueso, lo mismo hice con los pantalones y el cabello, así tendría otro acabado.

With respect to the brushes I used for the base of the skin the ink pen, it served me to fill, then in the contrast of the skin and the combination of other colors I used the graphite pencil together with the blurred, for the shirt I wanted to give it a different touch I used the thick oil brush, the same I did with the pants and hair, so I would have another finish.

Fui progresando en el dibujo y a medida que hacía detalles añadía colores diferentes para hacerlo menos planos, hay una combinación complementaria con el verde y el morado rojizo lo que hizo que el dibujo tuviera equilibrio.

I progressed in the drawing and as I made details I added different colors to make it less flat, there is a complementary combination with green and reddish purple which made the drawing have balance.

Al construir este personaje decidí que esta no sería la última vez que lo dibuje. Es muy cool me encanta su estética, y su historia me complació hasta el punto de divertirme al hacer mi versión de Thaddius Brood.

When building this character I decided that this would not be the last time I drew him. He's very cool I love his aesthetic, and his story pleased me to the point of having fun doing my version of Thaddius Brood.
