[ESP – ENG] Mulan, revisión de la película // Mulan, movie review🎬
Un gusto saludarlos Hivers!❤️ Esta es la primera reseña que hago de una película la cual es muy querida e importante para ya que es mi película animada favorita y una de las primeras que recuerdo haber visto cuando apenas era una niña, película que aún amo ya que es un filme completo, aquí encuentras acción, aventura, emoción, drama y amor. Si aún no la han visto pues quiero decirles que acá se llevarán algunos spoilers de la misma y si ya la vieron sabrán de lo que hablo y puede que hasta me den la razón, ¡Empezamos!
Nice to greet you Hivers!❤️ This is the first review I do of a movie which is very dear and important to me because it is my favorite animated movie and one of the first I remember seeing when I was just a little girl, a movie that I still love because it is a complete film, here you find action, adventure, emotion, drama and love. If you haven't seen it yet, I want to tell you that here you will get some spoilers and if you have already seen it you will know what I'm talking about and maybe you will even agree with me, let's start!
Cuando estaba pequeña mi madre solía llevarme muchas películas de Disney a casa, en ese entonces eran en formato VHS📼 aunque también DVD📀 (pero honestamente nunca le di tanta atención) y eran el tipo de cintas que solíamos ver. Durante toda mi infancia crecí viendo películas animadas (De Disney específicamente) y, de hecho, aun actualmente son mis favoritas y las que veo la gran parte de mi tiempo, como buena fan de Disney que soy. Para contarles un poco la historia, un día mi madre llega a casa con una cinta VHS y yo toda emocionada corrí a ver cuál era y si, era Mulan, ¡ya había escuchado hablar de esta película así que moría por verla y fue muy OMG AL FIN! Fue un día estupendo, jamás lo olvidaría.
When I was little my mother used to bring me a lot of Disney movies home, back then they were in VHS📼 format but also DVD📀 (but honestly I never paid that much attention to it) and they were the kind of tapes we used to watch. Throughout my childhood I grew up watching animated movies (Disney specifically) and, in fact, even today they are still my favorites and the ones I watch most of my time, as a good Disney fan that I am. To tell you a little bit of the story, one day my mother came home with a VHS tape and I was all excited and ran to see what it was and yes, it was Mulan, I had already heard about this movie so I was dying to see it and it was OMG AT LAST! It was a great day, I would never forget it.

La película inicia de una vez con una escena de acción en El Palacio del Emperador el cual está siendo custodiado por guardias por la llegada de los Hunos, un ejército invasor quienes mantenían un ataque constante al reino, están bajo las órdenes de su implacable líder Shan Yu.
The film opens with an action scene in the Emperor's Palace which is being guarded by guards due to the arrival of the Huns, an invading army who are constantly attacking the kingdom under the orders of their ruthless leader Shan Yu.
Click aquíMulan por ser la única hija, es enviada por su familia a la casamentera del pueblo quien según la ayudaría a encontrar marido, pero la entrevista con este peculiar personaje resulta ser un completo desastre, entonces esta sublime señora (sarcasmo) le dice delante de todo el mundo que ella jamás traerá honora a su familia. Mulan en su decepción llega a su casa y se sienta cabizbaja y muy decepcionada de sí misma bajo un árbol de sakura, entonces es su padre quien la ve, con amor le da palabras de aliento y logra hacer que su hija se sienta mejor.
Mulan, being the only daughter, is sent by her family to the village matchmaker who, according to her, would help her find a husband, but the interview with this peculiar character turns out to be a complete disaster, then this sublime lady (sarcasm) tells her in front of everyone that she will never bring honor to her family. Mulan in her disappointment arrives home and sits crestfallen and very disappointed in herself under a sakura tree, then it is her father who sees her, lovingly gives her words of encouragement and manages to make his daughter feel better.

Fa Zhou, el honorable padre de Mulan quien es un veterano de guerra, es llamado a pelear nuevamente y tira su muleta al suelo para ser voluntario, pero él ya está viejo y muy débil. A Mulan no se le hace para nada fácil al principio el entrenamiento, ya que era bastante fuerte y con ejercicios muy complicados para una mujer que no sabe nada del ejército y mucho menos sobre cómo se entrenan para ir a la guerra. Luego como la chica terca aunque muy valiente que es, decide tomar unas pesas extremadamente pesadas atadas en ambas manos y sube a un poste a recuperar la flecha que disparó Li Shang a la parte superior del mismo, flecha la cual debían los soldados recuperar, pero fue Mulan la única que lo logró, esta complicada prueba la ayudó a probarse a sí misma y de lo que es capaz.
Mulan does not find the training at all easy at first, as it was quite hard and with very complicated exercises for a woman who knows nothing about the army and much less about how they train to go to war. Then as the stubborn but very brave girl she is, she decides to take some extremely heavy weights tied in both hands and climbs a pole to retrieve the arrow that Li Shang shot at the top of it, an arrow which the soldiers had to retrieve, but Mulan was the only one who succeeded, this complicated test helped her to prove herself and what she is capable of.

Mulan goes through the entire training, but there comes a point where General Li Shang asks her to leave the camp because he discovers that "Ping" is actually a woman. Shang is given the order to kill her, but he instead decides to expel her from the battalion, to settle his debt, since she saved his life.
Click aquíLuego del batallón dirigirse a la ciudad perdida donde se enfrentarían al ejército invasor, Mulan corre hacia el castillo del Emperador a advertir a los chinos del contraataque de los Hunos, pero esta es completamente ignorada por la multitud. Al momento de que El Emperador se dirige al pueblo, los Hunos quienes ya están ahí disfrazados con la temática del desfile, lo secuestran y lo encierran dentro del Palacio. Mulan se inventa un plan para salvar al Emperador junto a sus amigos Yao, Chien Po y Ling (soldados de quien se volvió muy buena amiga) los viste de mujeres, escalan los muros palacio y así poder entrar infiltrados haciéndose pasar por concubinas (quiero destacar que es una de las escenas más graciosas de la película).
After the battalion heads to the lost city where they will face the invading army, Mulan runs to the Emperor's castle to warn the Chinese of the Hun counterattack, but is completely ignored by the crowd. As the Emperor heads into town, the Huns, who are already there in parade-themed costumes, kidnap him and lock him inside the palace. Mulan comes up with a plan to save the Emperor together with her friends Yao, Chien Po and Ling (soldiers with whom she has become good friends), dress them up as women, climb the palace walls and infiltrate the palace posing as concubines (I want to point out that this is one of the funniest scenes in the movie).

Luego de una dura batalla, Mulan se enfrenta a Shan Yu quien es el líder de los Hunos, lo vence y este resulta muerto. Un Emperador molesto pero muy agradecido, ofrece sus felicitaciones y reverencias a Mulan, asimismo le otorga la espada de Shan Yu y el emblema del emperador, objetos que según él darían honor a su familia.
After a hard battle, Mulan confronts Shan Yu who is the leader of the Huns, defeats him and he is killed. An annoyed but very grateful Emperor offers his congratulations and bows to Mulan and gives her the sword of Shan Yu and the emperor's emblem, objects that according to him would give honor to his family.
Click aquíYa al ir finalizando la película Mulan se dirige a su casa luego de estar tanto tiempo lejos de su familia, va directamente hacia donde está su padre a entregarle estos valiosos objetos para honrar a su familia, quien de forma inmediata los tira al suelo y va abrazar a su hija y le dice esta tan significativa frase “El mayor obsequio es tenerte a ti como hija”.
At the end of the movie Mulan goes home after being away from her family for so long, she goes directly to her father to give him these valuable objects to honor her family, who immediately throws them on the floor and hugs his daughter and says this meaningful phrase "The greatest gift is to have you as a daughter".

CLick aquíMuchas son las razones para que esta hermosa película se volviera mi favorita de la infancia y hasta el sol de hoy lo sigue siendo, hay tantos valores aquí y tantas enseñanzas que nos deja al verla. Mulan siendo solo una jovencita logró salvar a China gracias a su valentía, perseverancia, inteligencia y sobre todo el amor hacía su familia ya que prefería arriesgar su vida que poner en peligro a su padre, un hombre ya viejo quien en su juventud había prestado servicio al país para su defensa.
There are many reasons why this beautiful movie became my childhood favorite and to this day it still is, there are so many values here and so many teachings that it leaves us when we watch it. Mulan, being just a young girl, managed to save China thanks to her courage, perseverance, intelligence and above all her love for her family, since she preferred to risk her life rather than endanger her father, an old man who in his youth had served the country for its defense.
Todo el mundo debería verla ya que es de ambiente familiar, hoy en día ya es un clásico de Disney. La he visto miles de veces y la vería mil veces más, amo tanto a Mulan y lo que en mi infancia/adolescencia/adultez me ha enseñado.
Everyone should watch it as it is family friendly, nowadays it is already a Disney classic. I have seen it a thousand times and would watch it a thousand times more, I love Mulan so much and what in my childhood/teenage/adulthood it has taught me.
