Greetings to all Hive members, and especially to the lovely ladies of this community Ladies of Hive. I hope you’re all having a great time. Today I’m joining @irenenavarroart’s initiative for contest #280.

If I had the power to create a single law, I would propose a law that guarantees universal access to quality education. This law would include measures to ensure that all children and young people, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have access to an education that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and the skills necessary for the future.
This law could include: Funding for all schools to ensure they receive the necessary resources to provide educational materials, adequate infrastructure, and trained staff. Inclusion: In this regard, implementing specific programs to support students with disabilities and those from marginalized communities. Establishing a curriculum that incorporates 21st-century skills, such as coding, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Continuing education for teachers: Providing opportunities for continuing education for educators, ensuring they are up to date on best practices and pedagogical approaches. Promoting extracurricular activities that help students develop social and emotional skills.
This law would not only seek to improve educational quality but also promote equity and inclusion, preparing future generations to face the challenges of today’s world.
- Have you ever tolerated abusive behavior from someone close to you because of social pressure? If so, how did you handle it?
Yes, sometimes, but I know how to set my boundaries in such situations. In my opinion, it’s common for people to face situations where they tolerate abusive behavior due to social pressure—whether out of fear of rejection, a desire to fit in, or the belief that it’s easier not to confront the situation. Here are some tips on how to handle this: The first step is to recognize that the behavior is abusive and unacceptable. Identifying the signs of abuse—whether emotional, physical, or verbal—is crucial. Talk to someone you trust; it’s very important to set clear boundaries with the person exhibiting the abusive behavior, communicate your feelings, and make it clear what you’re not willing to tolerate. Seek professional support, and evaluate the relationship: that is, consider whether the relationship is healthy and worth maintaining. Sometimes, walking away from a toxic relationship is the best choice for your well-being. Confront the behavior: If you feel safe, consider confronting the person about their behavior. This should be done from a place of calm and clarity, expressing how their actions affect you.
Remember that no one deserves to be treated abusively, and it’s important to prioritize your well-being. If you ever feel in danger, seek help immediately.

Hmmm! This advice is truly timely and sincere. A lot of people who are abused are rather too embarrased to seek help, all they need oftentimes is just a little encouragement and support and their self confidence will be restored again.
The law promoting inclusion and educational equality, as you describe it, is very valuable, as is the importance of seeking help in cases of abuse or mistreatment. Thank you for sharing your experiences,

Interesting point about children with disabilities. My sons were diagnosed with dyslexia and were falling behind their class to almost two years and my Canadian public school didn't have the resources and funding. I cashed in almost half my pension to enroll them into a private school because that was the only option left to me. And it would spare my boys abuse from school bullies as I had experienced. It was worth every penny when both my sons completed the Standard circulation graduating with scholarships.
