Hola queridos amigos de hive ¡Feliz Domingo! espero que esten bien de salud, hoy decidi unirme al concurso NEEDLEWORKMONDAY: NeedleWork Your Jeans Contest que nos trae esta maravillosa comunidad @needleworkmonday, donde nos invita a publicar acerca de la costura y el procedimiento que lleva el proyecto.

Hello dear hive friends Happy Sunday! I hope you are in good health, today I decided to join the contest NEEDLEWORKMONDAY: NeedleWork Your Jeans Contest that brings us this wonderful community @needleworkmonday, where they invite us to post about sewing and the procedure that takes the project.

Ser ingenioso es una esencia que forma parte de cada uno de nosotros, desde muy niña me a gustado mucho la costura porque a través de ella podemos hacer realidad cualquier diseño que tengamos pensado, por esa razón quise compartir con todos mis amigos de esta comunidad un proyecto de un hermoso cojín hecho con jeans en forma de flor. Así que sin mas preámbulo comenzare mi tutorial:

To be ingenious is an essence that is part of each of us, since I was a child I have loved sewing because through it we can make any design we have in mind, for that reason I wanted to share with all my friends in this community a project of a beautiful cushion made with jeans in the shape of a flower. So without further ado I will begin my tutorial:

  • Tela jeans azul oscuro y claro.
  • Hilo de colores rojo, amarillo y azul.
  • Hoja en blanco para realizar el patrón.
  • Compás.
  • Lápiz.
  • Tijera.
  • Tela de color amarillo.
  • Relleno de algodón.
  • Estambre escolar rojo.
  • Tela de fieltro de color rojo.
  • Agujas.
  • Dark and light blue jeans fabric.
  • Red, yellow and blue thread.
  • Blank sheet to make the pattern.
  • Compass.
  • Pencil.
  • Scissors.
  • Yellow fabric.
  • Cotton stuffing.
  • Red school yarn.
  • Red felt fabric.
  • Needles.

Paso 1: Primeramente lo que haremos es dibujar en la hoja en blanco el patrón que necesitaremos para realizar el cojín y con mucho cuidado recortamos con la tijera cada una de las pieza.

Step 1: First we will draw on the blank sheet the pattern we will need to make the cushion and carefully cut out each piece with the scissors.

Paso 2: Remarcamos cada pieza en su respectivo color de tela, la cual necesitaremos en total 10 piezas en forma de pétalo en la tela de jeans azul oscuro y 10 piezas en la tela de jeans claro, 2 piezas en forma de circulo en la tela de fieltro de color rojo y delgadas tiras de la tela color amarillo.

Step 2: We highlight each piece in its respective color of fabric, which we will need a total of 10 petal-shaped pieces in the dark blue jeans fabric and 10 pieces in the light blue jeans fabric, 2 pieces in the shape of a circle in the red felt fabric and thin strips of the yellow fabric.

Paso 3: Antes de coser empezaremos a sostener cada una de las piezas con alfileres, luego la unimos con puntos de costura a mano pespunte, hasta formar por completo la figura de una flor, la cual necesitaremos la parte trasera y la delantera del cojín.

Step 3: Before sewing, we start holding each of the pieces with pins, then we join them with hand stitches, until we completely form the figure of a flower, which we will need for the back and the front of the cushion.

Paso 4: Tomamos la dos piezas en forma de circulo que ya tenemos recortada en tela de fieltro de color rojo, que sera el centro de nuestro cojín en forma de flor, sosteniendo muy bien con alfileres para luego coser con puntos de costura a mano pespunte.

Step 4: We take the two pieces in the shape of a circle that we have already cut in red felt fabric, which will be the center of our cushion in the shape of a flower, holding very well with pins and then sew with hand stitches.

Paso 5: Se toma una de las caras del cojín y en cada pétalo cerca del centro de la flor hacemos puntos de costura a mano pespunte con hilo de estambre, luego en la siguiente cara hacemos el mismo procedimiento.

Step 5: Take one of the sides of the cushion and on each petal near the center of the flower we stitch by hand stitching with worsted thread, then on the next side we do the same procedure.

Paso 6: Tomamos una de las caras que ya tenemos lista del cojín y por todo el borde con la ayuda de alfileres sostenemos las delgadas tiras de tela en color amarillo uniéndola con puntos de costura a mano pespunte.

Step 6: We take one of the sides of the cushion that we already have ready and along the edge with the help of pins we hold the thin strips of fabric in yellow color joining it with hand stitching stitches.

Paso 7: Ahora es el turno de unir el centro del cojín con puntos de costura a mano pespunte dejando un mínimo hueco para luego rellenarlo con algodón. Al terminar de rellenar se cose el hueco que se dejo con puntos pespunte.

Step 7: Now it is the turn to join the center of the cushion with backstitches leaving a minimum gap and then fill it with cotton. When the filling is finished, sew the hole left with backstitches.

Paso 8: Para finalizar cosemos todo el borde del cojín con puntos de costura a mano hilva, dejando un mínimo hueco por donde rellenaremos con algodón o retozos de tela que van quedando, al terminar de rellenar el cojín por completo cosemos el hueco que dejamos con puntos de costura hilva.

Step 8: To finish we sew all the edge of the cushion with hand stitches hilva, leaving a minimum gap where we will fill with cotton or fabric scraps that are left, when we finish filling the cushion completely we sew the gap we left with stitches hilva.
