Bendecido día para todas las madres de esta maravillosa comunidad @motherhood, espero se encuentren en excelente estado de salud, cuidando con mucha disciplina a los tesoros de la casa a fin de poder salir airosos de esta dura prueba que nos ha mantenido en incertidumbre desde hace casi dos años. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un tema sumamente interesante, que nos mantiene a la expectativa por cuanto ha causado cierto desequilibrio en nuestros hogares, además de innumerables opiniones y hasta algunas incomodidades al momento de tomar la decisión mas acertada; me refiero al regreso presencial o semi-presencial a las aulas de clases.
In Venezuela, once the virus was present, the authorities immediately made the decision to suspend face-to-face classes, this happened on March 17, 2020 and a modality called distance education was implemented with the Program Each family one school, for this each teacher made use of strategies to send the plans to the representatives and the pedagogical consultancies; to some in a virtual way, that is to say, those who had the means to do so and to others in person every 15; After finishing each Learning Project, the representative brought to the school the physical portfolio containing all the activities directed by the teacher and carried out by the student. Under this distance modality, the school year ended on July 31 and a new school year began on September 16, 2020, and thus continued until the end of July 31, 2021 a new school year, that is, almost 2 years with education to distance.
Now, a new school year 2021-2022 begins, where by presidential decree the return to classes in person or semi-face is estimated in entities where there are no restrictions due to the virus; In other words, there is no return to schools in all of Venezuela; and it is there where a series of situations arise, and from there some conflicting opinions; why? Well, because some fathers, mothers, representatives or responsible for fear of contagion, refuse to take their children to schools. I am a teacher, also a mother and under my responsibility I have a school-age granddaughter and I must tell you that I understand and respect all positions, both the fear of parents and their concern to preserve the health of their children, as well as the position of teachers in relation to the achievements and progress of children.
En Venezuela, una vez que hace presencia el virus, las autoridades tomaron de inmediato la decisión de suspender las clases presenciales, eso sucedió el 17 de marzo de 2020 y se implementó una modalidad denominada de educación a distancia con el Programa Cada familia una escuela, para ello cada maestro hizo uso de estrategias para hacer llegar las planificaciones a los representantes y las asesorías pedagógicas; a algunos de forma virtual, es decir los que contaran con los medios para ello y a otros de forma presencial cada 15; luego de terminado cada Proyecto de Aprendizaje, el representante llevaba a la escuela el portafolio en físico contentivo de todas las actividades orientadas por el maestro y realizadas por el estudiante. Bajo esta modalidad a distancia, terminó el año escolar el 31 julio y comenzó un nuevo año escolar el 16 de septiembre de 2020, y así continuo hasta finalizar el 31 de julio de 2021 un nuevo año escolar, es decir casi 2 años con educación a distancia.
Ahora bien, se inicia un nuevo año escolar 2021-2022, donde por decreto presidencial se estima el regreso presencial o semi-presencial a clases en las entidades en las que no hubiese restricciones por el virus; es decir que no en toda Venezuela hay regreso a las escuelas; y es ahí donde se presentan una serie de situaciones, y de allí algunas opiniones encontradas; por qué? Pues, porque algunos padres, madres, representantes o responsables por temor al contagio, se niegan a llevar a sus niños a las escuelas. Soy maestra, también madre y bajo mi responsabilidad tengo una nieta en edad escolar y debo decirles que entiendo y respeto todas las posturas, tanto el temor de los padres y su preocupación por preservar las salud de sus niños, como la postura de los maestros en relación a los logros y avances de los niños.
It is important to highlight that there was an immense responsibility assumed by many parents in relation to the education of their children with that emergency program that had to be implemented supporting them in everything and looking for all the tools so that they acquire the minimum skills necessary for the continuation of their studies ; But, there is also a considerable number of children who did not have attention and therefore are on a slope with the others; I am referring to children whose parents either could not guide them or did not pay the necessary attention to them. Now, with the return to the classroom, we find a prevailing reality, children promoted to 3rd grade who do not know sounds, do not write words, do not add, do not subtract; it will be very difficult for the teacher to level them so that their prosecution is less traumatic. I have heard of people who say a school year recovers life no, in that they are right, the school year recovers, if your child at the time of the pandemic was studying 1st grade and returns to school at 1st grade, to acquire the knowledge that will allow your advancement and acquisition of new skills; But if you went to study 1st grade and go back to study 3rd grade, and you did not have attention at home or were supervised by your teacher, there are many contents that you need; therefore, in my very personal opinion, I consider that school is extremely necessary for the care of these neglected children.
Es importante resaltar, que existió una inmensa responsabilidad asumida por muchos padres en relación a la educación de sus hijos con ese programa de emergencia que debió implementarse apoyándolos en todo y buscando todas las herramientas para que adquieran las competencias mínimas necesarias para la prosecución de sus estudios; pero, también existe una cantidad considerable de niños que no tuvieron atención y por tanto están en desnivel con los otros; me refiero a niños cuyos padres o no pudieron orientarlos o no les prestaron la atención necesaria. Ahora bien, con el regreso a las aulas, nos encontramos con una realidad imperante, niños promovidos a 3er grado que no conocen sonidos, no escriben palabras, no suman, no restan; va a ser muy difícil para el maestro nivelarlos para que su prosecución sea menos traumática. He oído de personas que dicen un año escolar se recupera la vida no, en eso tienen razón, el año escolar se recupera, si su hijo al momento de la pandemia estudiaba 1er grado y regresa a la escuela a 1er grado, a adquirir los conocimientos que le van a permitir su avance y adquisición de nuevas competencias; pero si se fue estudiando 1er grado y regresa a estudiar 3er grado, y no tuvo atención en casa ni fue supervisado por su maestro, son muchos los contenidos que le hacen falta; por tanto, en mi opinión muy personal, considero que la escuela es sumamente necesaria para la atención a esos niños desatendidos.
We must be aware of how important it is for a child that their knowledge is in line with the grade they are studying, in addition to the fact that there is an affective bond between children and their teachers that perhaps allows them to acquire knowledge more effectively, for how much teachers by vocation and conviction are endowed with pedagogy and patience to deal with them. If we put biosecurity measures into practice and we trust that in almost two years we were able to create in our children the habit of the correct use of masks, we can take them to school. But if you, as a responsible representative, decide otherwise, you are also respected, but you should think that by the time your child joins the regular process of activities, he must have acquired all the knowledge that he deserves for the grade he is going to attend.
As a mother, grandmother and teacher I understand all the positions, but I am also extremely concerned about children who are not receiving care at home or who do not do school activities but are doing other activities on the street. Let's put a hand on our hearts, our children are eager to learn, to go to school, to see their classmates; with discipline, love and commitment everything can be achieved.
Debemos ser conscientes de lo importante que es para un niño que sus conocimientos estén en consonancia con el grado que cursa, además de que existe un vínculo afectivo entre los niños con sus maestros que quizás les permite que la adquisición de conocimientos sea mas efectiva, por cuanto los maestros por vocación y por convicción están dotados de pedagogía y paciencia para lidiar con ellos. Si ponemos en práctica las medidas de bioseguridad y confiamos en que en casi dos años pudimos crear en nuestros niños el hábito del correcto uso del tapabocas, podemos llevarlos a la escuela. Pero, si usted como representante responsable, decide lo contrario también se le respeta, pero debe pensar que para cuando su niño se incorpore al proceso regular de actividades debe haber adquirido todo el conocimiento que amerita para el grado que va a cursar.
Como madre, abuela y maestra entiendo todas las posturas, pero también estoy sumamente preocupada por los niños que no están recibiendo atención en casa o que no realizan las actividades escolares pero están realizando otras actividades en la calle. Pongámonos una mano en el corazón, nuestros niños están ávidos de aprender, de ir a la escuela, de ver a sus compañeros; con disciplina, amor y compromiso todo se puede lograr.
