En la mayoría de los casos es un error ser indiferente ante lo que ocurre alrededor nuestro. Por naturaleza somos seres gregarios, vivimos en compañía de otros, y necesitamos de los otros, necesitamos comunicarnos y estar en constante interacción social, así está concebida la naturaleza; a menos que seamos ermitaños o hayamos decidido vivir aislados de las personas.

      El Beato español Manuel Domingo y Sol, mejor conocido como Mosén Sol, fundador de la Hermandad de Sacerdotes Operarios Diocesanos del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, lo expresó así:

No sabemos si estamos destinados a ser un río caudaloso que hace florecer en sus orillas jardines hermosos, o si hemos parecernos a la gota de rocío que envía Dios sobre el desierto a la planta desconocida; pero más brillante o más humilde, nuestra vocación es cierta: no estamos destinados a salvarnos solos.

      Por naturaleza, como ya lo escribí, la mayoría de los seres vivos se agrupan, forman manadas o comunidades, dónde se ayudan unos a otros para sobrevivir y perpetuarse como especies. La soledad absoluta es determinante, separa y condena a la extinción. Nadie puede perpetuarse por si solo, siempre necesita algo, alguien o necesita de su entorno para existir. No debe ser fácil vivir como un anacoreta; aunque, y en honor a la verdad, los ascetas, ermitaños o los monjes que así lo decidieron suelen ser felices, compartiendo su soledad con lo que les llena el alma. Son decisiones independientes, generalmente causadas por una motivación religiosa, dónde la contemplación, el sacrificio y la penitencia, según ellos, los hace alcanzar la paz y los ayuda a trascender en espíritu y verdad, llevándolos a experimentar la felicidad plena y duradera con ellos mismos y con la vida, aunque los demás, no aparezcan.

      En el párrafo anterior escribí:

Nadie puede perpetuarse por si solo, siempre necesita algo, alguien o a su entorno.

Esa frase, egoísta de mi parte, parece un aforismo desafortunado cuando de anacoreta se trata, pero no es así, ellos buscan vivir en armonía con ellos mismos y su entorno, buscan elevación espiritual y para lograrlo los otros no le son necesarios. Sin embargo, en el mundo material, los otros si importan, el otro es tan importante como yo, debo amarlo como amo a Dios y como me amo a mi mismo:

Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tú corazón, y con toda tú alma, y con toda tú mente. Este es el primero y grande mandamiento. Y el segundo es semejante: Amarás a tu prójimo como a tí mismo. (Mateo 22: 37-39)

      Que está Cuaresma sea para la meditación profunda, la oración sincera y la caridad fraterna. Amén 🙏❤️🙏

In most cases it is a mistake to be indifferent to what is happening around us. By nature we are gregarious beings, we live in the company of others, and we need others, we need to communicate and be in constant social interaction, this is how nature is conceived; unless we are hermits or have decided to live isolated from people.

      The Spanish Blessed Manuel Domingo y Sol, better known as Mosén Sol, founder of the Brotherhood of Diocesan Operative Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, expressed it like this:

We do not know if we are destined to be a mighty river that makes beautiful gardens bloom on its banks, or if we are to resemble the drop of dew that God sends over the desert to the unknown plant; but brighter or more humble, our vocation is true: we are not destined to save ourselves alone.

      By nature, as I already wrote, most living beings group together, form herds or communities, where they help each other to survive and perpetuate themselves as species. Absolute loneliness is decisive, separates and condemns us to extinction. No one can perpetuate themselves, they always need something, someone or their environment to exist. It must not be easy to live as an anchorite; Although, and in honor of the truth, ascetics, hermits or monks who decided to do so tend to be happy, sharing their solitude with what fills their soul. They are independent decisions, generally caused by a religious motivation, where contemplation, sacrifice and penance, according to them, make them achieve peace and help them transcend in spirit and truth, leading them to experience full and lasting happiness with themselves. and with life, although the others do not appear.

      In the previous paragraph I wrote:

No one can perpetuate themselves, they always need something, someone or their environment.

That phrase, selfish on my part, seems like an unfortunate aphorism when it comes to anchorites, but it is not like that, they seek to live in harmony with themselves and their environment, they seek spiritual elevation and to achieve this, others are not necessary. However, in the material world, others do matter, the other is as important as me, I must love them as I love God and as I love myself:

Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is similar: You will love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22: 37-39)
