Yesterday I posted on my Twitter account @MarcosEMilano that I had learned something new about wars, being that a good friend had made the comment to me about what he calls The Great Spiritual War. In the conversation, my friend Leonardo Perozo, @perozoleo made it clear that what we fight daily is not a war but small or medium-impact battles, for the Great Spiritual Battle, according to my friend, was won by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, overcoming death; for the Hour and Glory of God the Father Almighty, One and Eternal.

Since always, and today more than ever, Christians are being attacked without mercy, what we are resisting is more than a field battle, the evil one attacks without giving quarter, for that reason, we have to take strength virtue not only to resist but also to attack and it is Saint Paul himself, as a good soldier, who tells us what to do.

¡Ay de la tierra y del mar!, porque el diablo ha descendido a vosotros con gran furor, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo. Desde siempre, y hoy mas que nunca, los cristianos estamos siendo atacados sin clemencia, lo que estamos resistiendo es mas que una batalla camplal, el maligno ataca sin dar cuartel; por esa razón, tenemos que tomar con mucha seriedad la virtud fortaleza, no solo para resistir sino también para atacar.

Ante las distintas batallas que libramos a diario, obliga por las huestes malignas que nos atacan sin dar cuartel; san Pablo, como buen soldado, nos dice lo que tenemos que hacer: "Por tanto, tomad toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y habiendo acabado todo, estar firmes. Estad, pues, firmes, ceñidos vuestros lomos con la verdad, y vestidos con la coraza de justicia, y calzados los pies con el apresto del evangelio de la paz. Sobre todo, tomad el escudo de la fe, con que podáis apagar todos los dardos de fuego del maligno. Y tomad el yelmo de la salvación, y la espada del Espíritu, que es la palabra de Dios."

Researching the vital information my friend gave me I found the following, quote: God has provided us with everything we need to win the spiritual battles we face, emphasizing that we need to know that, believe it, and act accordingly. And it is through prayer that we recognize and wield the weapons of our spiritual warfare described in Ephesians 6. end of quote. Sincere prayer to our Father in Heaven, the only Supreme and Eternal, Almighty, the father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, our redeemer.

Investigando sobre la información vital que me dio mi amigo me encontré lo siguiente, cito: Dios nos ha proporcionado todo lo que necesitamos para ganar las batallas espirituales que enfrentamos, enfatizando que necesitamos saber eso, creerlo y actuar en consecuencia. Y es a través de la oración que reconocemos y manejamos las armas de nuestra guerra espiritual descritas en Efesios 6. fin de la cita. As a summary we have that the spiritual armor, the armor of God that we must take, according to Saint Paul in the letter to Ephesians 6: 10-20 is this: «stand firm, girded with the truth, clothed with the breastplate of justice, shod with the gospel of peace, above all, always have at hand the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit that is the Word of God, the gospel, in conclusion: prayer, prayer and more prayer.That said, we have to take our spiritual life very seriously and with great responsibility, we can never forget that evil is stalking us: "Be prudent and stay tuned, because your enemy is the devil, and he walks like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5: 8) In addition to prayer, there are four cardinal virtues that help us in every battle against evil, which we must raise awareness and assume as a standard of life: prudence, justice, strength and temperance. We must also raise awareness of the theological virtues: faith, hope and charity; as well as the messianic values: justice, freedom, love and peace. As a recommendation we must stay away from excesses, from capital sins, let us remember that the wise man distances himself from evil and prevails firmly against temptations.
At this moment I thank God for his love, for having sent to us his beloved son, Jesus Christ, who taught us the way, always enlightened, of truth and justice, brought us his salvation and gave us eternal life.

A modo de resumen tenemos que la armadura espiritual, la armadura de Dios que debemos tomar, según San Pablo en la carta a los Efesios 6:10-20 es esta: «estar firmes, ceñidos con la verdad, vestidos con la coraza de la justicia, calzados con el evangelio de la paz, sobre todo, tener siempre a mano el escudo de la fe, el yelmo de la salvación, y la espada del espíritu que es la Palabra de Dios, el evangelio, en conclusión: oración, oración y mas oración.Dicho lo anterior, tenemos que tomar nuestra vida espiritual con mucha seriedad y con mucha responsabilidad, no podemos olvidar jamas que el mal nos acecha: "Sean prudentes y manténganse atentos, porque su enemigo es el diablo, y él anda como un león rugiente, buscando a quien devorar." (1 Pedro 5:8) Además de la oración, existen cuatro virtudes cardinales que nos ayudan en cada batalla contra el mal, las cuales debemos concienciar y asumir como estandarte de vida: prudencia, justicia, fortaleza y templanza. También debemos concienciar las virtudes teologales: fe, esperanza y caridad; así como los valores mesiánicos: justicia, libertad, amor y paz. A modo de recomendación debemos alejarnos de los excesos, de los pecados capitales, recordemos que el sabio se aleja del mal y prevalece firme ante las tentaciones.
En este momento doy gracias a Dios por su amor, por haber enviado a nosotros a su amado hijo, Jesucristo, quien nos enseñó el camino, siempre iluminado, de la verdad y la justicia, nos trajo su salvación y nos dio la vida eterna.
