En cuanto a videojuegos, sigue habiendo una enorme cantidad de títulos en donde quizás sus nombres se nos hagan completamente desconocidos o poco populares, sin embargo, al jugarlos muestran una calidad abismal conforme a las expectativas previas. Xenowerk, se convierte en un Shooter muy bien desarrollado, y que a pesar de haber sido estrenado hace 7 años, se permite sobresalir incluso sobre muchos juegos actuales del mismo género. Su contexto, nos hará recordar de algún modo la conocida historia de Resident Evil, la jugabilidad y apartado audiovisual, aportarán una experiencia bastante agradable en un juego que se podría considerar como muy completo.

In terms of video games, there is still a huge amount of titles where perhaps their names are completely unknown or unpopular, however, when playing them, they show an abysmal quality according to previous expectations. Xenowerk, becomes a very well developed shooter, and despite having been released 7 years ago, it allows itself to stand out even over many current games of the same genre. Its context, will remind us somehow the well-known story of Resident Evil, the gameplay and audiovisual section, will provide a very pleasant experience in a game that could be considered as very complete.

Para comprender de una forma bastante sencilla y justificando el hecho de haber mencionado que su historia es lo bastante similar a la de Resident Evil, Xenowerk sería algo similar a Umbrella, una especie de laboratorio científico subterráneo en donde todo se salió de control, y nuestro objetivo será el de ser una especie de "soldado de élite" cumpliendo no solo con funciones de exterminadores, sino también buscando las causas que originaron el desastre y contener a los mutantes.

To understand in a fairly simple way and justifying the fact of having mentioned that its story is similar enough to that of Resident Evil, Xenowerk would be something similar to Umbrella, a kind of subway scientific laboratory where everything got out of control, and our goal will be to be a kind of "elite soldier" fulfilling not only the functions of exterminators, but also looking for the causes that caused the disaster and contain the mutants.

Con una vista semi aérea, nos adentramos en los diferentes pisos del enorme laboratorio, a medida que avanzamos, las amenazas se vuelven aún mayores y nuestras armas y escudos deberán ser mejorados para hacer frente a todos los peligros. Un Shooter en el que será técnicamente difícil acostumbrarnos a la jugabilidad, aunque con algunas partidas, iremos comprendiendo las mecánicas empleadas para el juego.

With a semi aerial view, we enter the different floors of the huge laboratory, as we advance, the threats become even greater and our weapons and shields must be upgraded to deal with all the dangers. A Shooter in which it will be technically difficult to get used to the gameplay, although with a few games, we will understand the mechanics used for the game.

El objetivo en cada piso varía entre acabar con un mutante gigante o buscar una computadora específica para activar una compuerta y avanzar, en el caso del mutante gigante, en estos primeros niveles, no se nota una dificultad exagerada, sin embargo es algo razonable por ser apenas parte de los primeros escenarios del juego.

The objective in each floor varies between killing a giant mutant or looking for a specific computer to activate a gate and advance, in the case of the giant mutant, in these first levels, there is not an exaggerated difficulty, however it is something reasonable for being just part of the first stages of the game.

Hasta el momento, no tuve los créditos suficientes para mejorar mi armamento o comprar algún otro personaje, pude notar que se nos otorgan monedas en cada nivel, sin embargo los personajes se adquieren con otro token, por lo que espero que no sean de formato "pago".

So far, I did not have enough credits to upgrade my weapons or buy any other character, I could notice that we are given coins in each level, however the characters are acquired with another token, so I hope they are not of "payment" format.

Algo absolutamente agradable de este título, es el hecho de que hayan involucrado una ambientación musical tan acorde al escenario, eso junto a los constantes momentos de acción, suman para que el juego se vuelva lo suficientemente atractivo, en el único lugar en donde no se maneja música de fondo, es en el apartado del menú principal del juego, razones personales habrán tenido los desarrolladores.

Something absolutely pleasant about this title, is the fact that they have involved a musical setting so consistent with the scenario, that along with the constant moments of action, add to make the game sufficiently attractive, the only place where background music is not handled, is in the main menu section of the game, personal reasons the developers must have had.

La acción es constante en Xenowerk, en la parte superior central, se nos mostrarán un medidor de enemigos derrotados, cuando las tres figuras se marcan completas en color verde, querrá decir que ya hemos acabado con todos los mutantes de ese nivel.

The action is constant in Xenowerk, at the top center, we will be shown a meter of defeated enemies, when the three figures are marked complete in green, it means that we have already finished with all the mutants of that level.

Otra de las cosas geniales en este juego, es el hecho de que hayan incluido el uso de linternas para nuestro personaje, esto permite que el juego se asemeje mucho más a un escenario en donde realmente ha ocurrido un desastre de laboratorio. Con el uso de la linterna, se hará mucho menos predecible la aparición de enemigos, pues tendremos que ser agiles para estar mirando en todas las direcciones para evitar ser sorprendidos, la salud de nuestra personaje se puede recuperar con el uso de botiquines limitados.

Another great thing in this game is the fact that they have included the use of flashlights for our character, this allows the game to be much more like a scenario where a laboratory disaster has really happened. With the use of the flashlight, the appearance of enemies will be much less predictable, as we will have to be agile to be looking in all directions to avoid being surprised, the health of our character can be recovered with the use of limited first aid kits.

Es importante tomar en cuenta, que Xenowerk es una opción bastante amigable con dispositivos que carezcan de espacio de almacenamiento, pues el juego apenas llega a pesar en total, unos 232MB. El único punto negativo que en general se le podría encontrar al juego, es el hecho de no poder ser jugador en cooperativo, sin embargo, eso no le quita mérito al gran trabajo que se realizó con este título.

It is important to take into account that Xenowerk is a very friendly option for devices that lack storage space, since the game barely weighs a total of 232MB. The only negative point that in general could be found in the game, is the fact of not being able to be a cooperative player, however, that does not detract from the great work that was done with this title.
