Hola amigos cinéfilos de Hive. Hoy quiero confesarles algo 😳. Normalmente les sacaba el cuerpo a las series coreanas en Netflix. No tenía nada en particular en contra de ellas o en contra de esa nacionalidad, pero estaban fuera de mi zona de confort, pensé que no me identificaría o que solo eran historias rosas o cuentos de fantasía.

Cuando intentaba ver algo, siempre me topaba con este tipo de series y sentía como si me estuvieran obligando a verlas. Pero ahora todo ha cambiado, siendo una gran fascinación por las pocas series que he podido ver, y las que no he visto ya quiero verlas jajaja. Por mis sobrinas he conocido un poco más.

Aquí en Hive, leyendo una publicación sobre una serie que yo había y visto y que de hecho me encantó de la cual también escribí un post (El autismo y Woo, una abogada extraordinaria ⚖️ 🎬 [ES|EN] ), me enteré que a este tipo de historias se les denomina K-drama. Estuve conversando sobre este término con mis sobrinas de 20 y 11 años, las cuales son expertas en el tema y me enteré que hace referencia a los dramas coreanos 😱, fue todo un descubrimiento para mí. De esa conversación quede con una lista de películas que me estaban recomendando para ver 😅.

Los personajes de las historias que he tenido la oportunidad de ver son tan lindos, física y en personalidad. Han sido historias frescas, con romance, humor y una vista extraordinaria de esta cultura y sus hermosos paisajes.

Pero hoy, quiero hablarte una serie que vi en Netflix hace ya más de un mes y se trata de El amor es como el chachachá, me había topado mucho con ella y no me llama la atención para nada, pero me di cuenta de que la protagonista era la misma chica de otra serie coreana que acaba de terminar de ver, y de la cual les contare en otro momento (El peso del amor), que también me gustó mucho. Por eso decidí darle una oportunidad y que les parece, me gustó mucho también 😜. Así que sin más entraré en materia

🎬 Algunos datos sobre "El amor es como el chachachá"

El amor es como el Chachachá, es una comedia romántica coreana que como ya te comenté es distribuida por Netflix desde el año 2021. Es dirigida por Yoo Je-won y el guion es de Shin Ha-Eun y es un remake de la película surcoreana "Mr. Hong".¹

Esta serie se desarrolla en el pueblo de Gongjin, lo cual nos regala encantadores paisajes costeros que le dan una característica especial a esta serie. Lo mejor de ella es que tiene solo 16 capítulos, aunque todos tiene una duración de más de una hora (entre 75 y 81 minutos) y si eres como mi esposo y yo a quienes nos gusta hacer maratones los fines de semana, pues esta serie es ideal para ti. Aunque a mi esposo no le gustan estas comedia románticas, espero que a ti sí.

Los protagonistas principales² de esta serie son:

• Shin Min-ah (Yoon Hye-jin): Ella es una ambiciosa y brillante dentista que cree que tener mucho dinero es lo que la hará una persona importante y por eso esa es su meta. Le gustan las cosas buenas y costosas y le importa mucho lo que otros puedan pensar de ella si no es exitosa. Sin embargo, su elevada moral la lleva a ver obstaculizadas sus metas de manera temporal por verse forzada a dejar su trabajo en Seúl y decidir mudarse a humilde pueblo costero.

Al principio, Yoon Hye-jin es bien recibida en Gongjin, pero debido a una imprudencia accidental de su parte, la inauguración de su clínica sufre algunos inconvenientes.

En esta serie, varias historias personales de algunos de los personajes se van tejiendo a medida que avanza. Incluso algunas de estas historias llegan a cruzarse en el pasado, lo cual no queda en evidencia desde el principio.

🎬 Temas que trata esta serie

Me gustó mucho como se deja ver el contraste entre la vida en la ciudad con la que se vive fuera de ella. El tipo de expectativas y ambición de los habitantes de estas diferentes localidades, así como también lo acelerada que puede ser la vida, simplemente dependiendo del lugar donde vivas.

También, como muchas personas que han tenido circunstancias no tan fáciles durante su desarrollo, ven en la prosperidad material la seguridad de un buen futuro. Sin embargo, resaltan temas como la generosidad, la diligencia, la bondad, la amistad y la sinceridad como ingredientes primordiales para poder tener una buena convivencia y ser querido, valorado y admirado por otros.

La lealtad de una verdadera amistad también se pone de manifiesto, a pesar de las diferencias y de las ambiciones personales. También se expone como las metas y forma de pensar de una persona puede cambiar, aun después de la vida adulta, incluso relaciones familiares no muy favorables pueden volverse favorables cuando se permite un acercamiento de una manera diferente.

¿Qué es lo más importante para ti y por lo cual luchas? Bueno, ante un cambio de circunstancias y con la intervención de diferentes personajes en la historia de tu vida todo puede cambiar. Lo que considerabas importante puede llegar a no serlo tanto y lo que no tenía realmente importancia pudiera ser lo que más quieres y necesitas en tu vida. Algo de esto pasó en esta trama.

También me dejó convencida de que ser sincero y tener el valor de expresar tus sentimientos reales siempre tendrá mayor valor, que fingir algo contrario. No puedo decirte tanto, en momentos no supe como plantear algunos de estos temas sin hacer spoilers, pero creo que lo logré. Espero que te animes a ver esta serie.

I didn't have anything in particular against them or against that nationality, but they were out of my comfort zone, I thought I wouldn't relate or that they were just pink stories or fantasy tales.

However, they highlight themes such as generosity, diligence, kindness, friendship and sincerity as essential ingredients to be able to have a good life and be loved, valued and admired by others.

The loyalty of a true friendship is also brought out, despite differences and personal ambitions. It also exposes how a person's goals and way of thinking can change, even after adulthood, even less than favorable family relationships can become favorable when allowed to grow closer in a different way.

What is most important to you and what do you strive for? Well, with a change of circumstances and with the intervention of different characters in your life story everything can change. What you considered important may not be so important and what was not really important may be what you most want and need in your life. Some of this happened in this plot.

It also left me convinced that being honest and having the courage to express your real feelings will always have more value than pretending otherwise.
