Raccoon City - Evening Run

I just finished a 10.14km running that lasted about 0hh:44mm:46ss !

10k easily under 45 minutes, how about that?? I didn't think I already had it in me. The objective today was different from the last couple of runs: I wanted to run at least 5 miles while staying under a 7:20 min/mile pace. In the end, 6.3 mile at 7:06 min/mile, that's mission accomplished! Like I said many times, I want to get consistently under 7 min/mile for at least 10k, so it's not there yet, but it's getting much more reachable. And I believe I could have added a bit of distance at that same pace, so I'm very satisfied with that run.

Had another scare though. No skunk this time, but raccoons (hence the title once again). These animals have big claws and can be dangerous when they feel cornered, but they usually flee much before I get anywhere close. Well this time, I saw them at the last second on the side of the street. Two big raccoons looking at me, and clearly not leaving. Of course, I got startled and jumped sideways, and they still didn't move. Not sure why, maybe there were some younger ones close and they were protecting them. I gotta stop getting scared by wildlife during my night runs!

That's 67km so far in November, so not only am I getting a bit faster, I'm also increasing my mileage. Hopefully I can keep that trend throughout November. For now, I am hoping to run again tomorrow, but it will most probably be a slower pace. But as usual, we'll see how the day goes.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
