Decorating San Rafael School's Classrooms

Hello, Dear Hivers | Hola, Queridos Hivers

Ladt week, traditional classes began in my city, and it has been an adventure. After 2 years, my mom had no idea how to decorate her classroom, but thankfully she has me, willing to help her.

I made three posters for her, and one for a friend of ours who works there too.

My mother's were the following ones:

First, I made the "Space for peace" one, which is based on values.
I've upgraded my lettering skills and learned how to enjoy the process, so I had a good time writing all the values with different shapes, shades, colors, etc. I also made some little drawings to fill the empty spaces. In my opinion it looked very cute! Maybe it should have been a little bit more childish, but it's fine.

The other two were about "The Norms of The Good Speaker and Listener". This one's were easier because the only lettering I had to do was in the title, for the rest I used my normal calligraphy with some alterations to make it look a bit "professional". When I showed it to my mother. She told me that, again, a childish touch was missing, which is why I encased the norms and the title in a cloud, and made a cute landscape in the background. That took me more time and a bit of stress. I painted the sky with royal blue, but it turned out too dark, so for the sky of the other poster I used turquoise. The grass with green, some bees, some flowers, et voilà!

For our friend, Jhoanny, I made a "Space for peace" poster too. Here between us: it was wayyy prettier than my mother's. Lol. For this one I used a cardboard and used my mom's as guide of "what not to do." I did copy some stuff, but most of it was improvised. I used glitter, and, just like I did with Cookie's, made some drawings to fill the gaps between the words.

Jhoa really liked it! That much, that she asked me to do another poster for her classroom. This one with a welcoming message for her students. It took me sometime, but when I finished it, she liked it very much too ❤

This is quite inspiring. Our classroom walls are pretty bland and we should really do something to liven them up.

If you wanna hang out with fellow teachers then come check out the Teachers Lounge. Trying to build a community :)

Thank you!
Definitely it is, I think in that way students-children feel happier while they are learning. You should do it.😍

OK. I'm going to the community, thanks for the invitation. 😁
