Longing through the Window
Very good evening my dear #hive community and especially to the #art loving community, welcome once again to my blog, this post I think it will come out a little later than the time I usually publish because until now I returned home; and after taking a good shower, eat a delicious arepa and rest a while I am here writing this and sharing with you the last artwork I finished today in the morning. This time I decided to create something a little more free, something related to nature, but in a very subtle way; and that's why I decided to create this girl, who as you can see is looking through her balcony towards the outside with a sad and lost expression, as if something was missing for her to be completely fulfilled:
Muy buenas noches mi querida comunidad de #hive y especialmente a la comunidad amante del #arte, sean bienvenidos una nueva ocasión a mi blog, este post creo que saldrá un poco más tarde que la hora en la que acostumbro publicar debido a que hasta ahora regrese a mi hogar; ya luego de darme una buena ducha, comer una deliciosa arepa y reposar un rato me encuentro por aquí escribiendo esto y compartiéndoles el ultimo trabajo artístico que termine hoy por la mañana. En esta ocasión decidí crear algo un poco más libre, algo con relación a la naturaleza, pero de forma muy sutil; y fue por ello decidí crear a esta chica, que como podrán apreciar se posa mirando a través de su balcón hacia el exterior con una expresión triste y algo perdida, como si algo le faltara para ser completamente plena:
I started with this illustration with the intention of practicing a little bit, free strokes and without a concrete idea of what I would paint, beyond that it would be related in some way with nature, I was trying structures until I managed to create this girl as you can see below, and I liked the sketch that I decided to work entirely with free idea as I had in my mind at the beginning; I started to look for colors in my palette that would give her not only a natural essence, but at the same time I liked them, for the skin I used a quite intense tone since I had planned to scale this tone towards very light colors. This time I decided to work the skin with the watercolor brush, and instead of mixing the shades of lights and shadows with the same brush, I decided to mix everything with the swab brush to get a better smoothness in the skin; after having the skin well defined I continued a little giving shape to the eyes and lips, for the eyes I opted for a brown color like cocoa and decided to paint them very large, and for the lips I used a little salmon color.
Inicie con esta ilustración con intensión de practicar un poco, soltando trazos algos libre y sin una idea en concreta de que pintaría, más allá de que estaría relacionada de alguna forma con la naturaleza, fui probando estructuras hasta que logre crear a esta chica tal cual como la podrán ver mas adelante, y me gusto el boceto que decidí trabajar enteramente con idea libre tal cual como tenia en mi menta al iniciar; comencé a buscar colores en mi paleta que le dieran no solo una esencia natural, sino que al mismo tiempo me gustaran, para la piel use un tono bastante intenso ya que tenia planeado escalar mucho este tono hacia los colores muy claros. En esta ocasión decidí trabajar la piel con el pincel de acuarela, y en lugar de mezclar los tonos de luces sombras con el mismo pincel, mejor decidí mezclar todo con el pincel de hisopo para conseguir una mejor suavidad en la piel; después de tener la piel bien definida continúe un poco dándole forma a los ojos y labios, para los ojos opte por un color marrón como el cacao y decidí pintarlos muy grandes, y para los labios use un poco de color salmón.
The painting of the clothes in this occasion I wanted to make it as if it was a kind of thin translucent dress, for this what I did was to use a medium violet color and adjust the opacity of the layer to 70%, in this way the strokes would take shape and at the same time I could see where the skin of the arms and torso ended to create the dress just a little looser; to make the dress look a little more solid and realistic what I did was to add certain shadows such as under the arm, under the bust, under the hair and of course bright lines in areas where the light comes in contact with the fabric. The hair painting if I wanted to make it a little more detailed, normally I paint the hair with airbrush and sometimes it is very diffuse or blurry, here that today I decided to use flat brushes and one or another geometric tip; first I sat a little hair relief in a half wavy way dropping much of the volume on the shoulders, then with much patience I dedicated myself to give it just a little more fluffiness and of course life with strands of hair loose and in various directions.
El pintado de la ropa en esta ocasión quise hacerlo como si fuese una especie de vestido medio traslucido y delgado, para esto lo que hice fue usar un color violeta medio y ajustar la opacidad de la capa a un 70%, de esta forma los trazos se irían tomando forma y al mismo tiempo podía ver donde terminaba la piel de los brazos y torso para crear el vestido solo un poco mas holgado; para que el vestido se viera un poco mas solido y realista lo que hice fue añadir ciertas sombras como por ejemplo debajo del brazo, bajo el busto, bajo el cabello y por supuesto líneas de brillo en zonas donde la luz entra en contacto con la tela. El pintado del cabello si quise hacerlo un poco mas detallado, normalmente hago el pintado del pelo con aerógrafo y en ocasiones queda muy difuso o borroso, aquí que hoy me decidí por usar pinceles planos y uno que otro de punta geométrica; primero senté un poco el relieve de pelo en forma medio ondulada dejando caer gran parte del volumen en los hombros, luego con mucha paciencia me dedique a darle solo un poco mas de esponjosidad y por supuesto vida con mechones de pelo sueltos y en varias direcciones.
For the background of my drawing I decided to paint a kind of sunset or country sunset, I created some tree branches which can be seen from the balcony of the girl's house; first I gave a little shape to the branches and then a lot of wood texture, then with a Sai brush I began to give life and color to the tree painting what would be the leaves of the tree in a quite populated way. I painted the balcony using brown-yellowish tones to give the impression that the balcony and the house is quite old, I also added a couple of slight cracks all around the window frame; at the end I thought to leave it like that since it looked pretty good, but then I had the idea of adding a little yellow glow in the branches of the trees to represent a little the reflection of the sunlight on them.
Para el background de mi dibujo me decidí por pintar una especie de atardecer o puesta del sol de campo, cree algunas ramas de árbol las cuales se logran ver desde el balcón de la casa de la chica; primero di un poco de forma a las ramas y luego mucha textura de madera, ya después con un pincel de Sai comencé a darle vida y color al árbol pintando lo que serian las hojas del árbol de una manera bastante poblada. El pintado del balcón lo hice usando tonos Marrones-amarillentos esto para darle impresión que el balcón y la casa es bastante vieja, también añadí un par de grietas leves en todo el contorno del marco de la ventana; ya al final pensé en dejarla así ya que se veía bastante bien, pero luego se me vino la idea de añadir un poco de brillo amarillo en las ramas de los arboles para representar un poco el reflejo de la luz del sol en ellos.
