Lizz Cat- Feline Spirit
What's up my people, happy Thursday and I hope you are having a great week, today I am here to bring you a new artwork for my blog, this is a drawing more oriented towards the wildest theme; it turns out that in the hills of a large and remote mountain in ancient China known as the Mountain (Wild), there is a great diversity for hundreds of years, what is special about these creatures is that they are unions or mixtures between animal and human, creatures that thanks to their evolution have great abilities and unique skills. This is the case of my character today which I called by the name of Lizz Cat, and it is a young girl that no one knows exactly how was her origin, only that since she was an infant could be seen in her feline features as lastas claws which pulled out of his fingers at will, big ears on the top of his head as if it were a kind of wild cat; But above all the main feature that identified Lizz Cat was her great dexterity and speed when hunting her prey, she was able to climb at high speed the highest places with the help of her powerful claws, and tear her prey to shreds with her sharp fangs:
Que pasa mi gente, feliz jueves y espero estén teniendo una excelente semana, el día de hoy me encuentro por aquí para traerles una nueva obra artística para mi blog, se trata de un dibujo mas orientado hacia la temática mas salvaje; resulta que en las colinas de una gran y remota montaña en la antigua china conocida como la Montaña (Wild), existe una gran diversidad desde hace cientos de años, lo que tienen de especiales estas criaturas es que son uniones o mezclas entre animal y humano, unas criaturas que gracias a su evolución cuentan con grandes habilidades y destrezas únicas. Este es el caso de mi personaje del día de hoy a la cual llame por el nombre de Lizz Cat, y se trata de una joven que nadie sabe exactamente como fue su origen, solo que desde que era una infante se podían apreciar en ella sus rasgos felinos como lastas garras las cuales sacaba de sus dedos a voluntad, grandes orejas en la parte alta de su cabeza como si fuese una especie de felina salvaje; pero sobre todo el principal rasgo que identificaba a Lizz Cat era su gran destreza y rapidez a la hora de cazar sus presas, era capas de escalar a gran velocidad los lugares mas altos con ayudas de sus poderosas garras, y hacer trizas a sus presas con sus filosos colmillos:
For my illustration I tried to make my drawing in a suitable pose to what really represents the character of Lizz Cat, I draw her squatting or slightly crouched like a cat before hunting, obviously with a big feline ears and also with a fairly balanced look, that is to say that she doesn't look like a bad or ruthless creature, but that is what her nature demands from her; Well, I finished with the line-art and at the same time I started to paint everything in layers, I painted the skin in a not so deep sandy brown tone, my intention here was to scale the colors but without leaving the skin too white. Then for the creation of the volume I worked too much with the airbrush and the watercolor trying that the strokes were very close together to take advantage of blurring them and mix them in a better way, after the skin I continued with the painting of the details of expression of the face; for the eyes this time I decided for an intense reddish tone, something like a scarlet red leaving a slight shine in all the contour of the eyes to simulate the reflection of the light of the environment.
Para mi ilustración me esforcé en que mi dibujo estuviese en una pose adecuada a lo que realmente representa el personaje de Lizz Cat, la dibujo como en cuclillas o levemente agachada como una gata antes de cazar, obviamente con una grandes orejas de felina y también con una mirada bastante equilibrada, es decir que no se viera como una criatura mala o despiadada, sino que es lo que su naturaleza le exige; bueno termine con el line-art y de una misma vez empecé a pintar todo en capas, la piel la pinte de un tono marrón arenoso no tan profundo, mi intensión aquí era escalar los colores pero sin dejar la piel demasiado blanca. Luego para la creación del volumen trabajé demasiado con el aerógrafo y la acuarela tratando de que los trazos estuviesen muy juntos para aprovechas de difuminarlos y mezclarlos de mejor forma, luego de la piel seguí con el pintado de los detalles de expresión del rostro; para los ojos en esta ocasión me decidí por una tonalidad rojiza intensa, algo así como un rojo escarlata dejando ver un leve brillo en todo el contorno de los ojos para simular el reflejo de la luz del ambiente.
For the attire or clothing I decided to create a kind of suit composed of 2 parts, a part as mesh fabric which would cover almost all of his body, except for his head and hands, this suit I worked as a base with an intermediate brown tone to which I adjusted just a little opacity to achieve good transparency; then with a diffuse brush I began to create the texture with a little more saturated tones to give the impression that this garment is really transparent and lets you see much of the skin underneath it. Then for the 2nd part of the costume I decided to create a kind of hybrid fabric nightgown between scarlet red and black inside, to achieve a difference between both parts of the costume I wanted to use much more texture in this part, I added a little more firm glitter and without blurring too much; then for the hair I did not complicate much, what I did was try to create a super straight hair, with a good fringe on the part of the forehead and with very long locks and without much effect, all towards the back of the back.
Para el atuendo o vestimenta me decante por crear una especie de traje compuesto por 2 partes, una parte como de tela de malla la cual cubriría casi la totalidad de su cuerpo, con excepción de su cabeza y manos, este traje lo trabaje como base con un tono marrón intermedio al cual le ajuste solo un poco la opacidad para lograr buena trasparencia; luego con un pincel difuso comencé a crea la textura con tonos un poco mas saturados para dar la impresión de que esta prenda realmente es transparente y deja ver mucho de la piel que hay debajo de ella. Luego para la 2da parte del traje me decidí por crear una especie de camisón de tela hibrida entre el rojos escarlata y el negro por dentro, para lograr una diferencia entre ambas partes del traje quise usar mucha mas textura en esta parte, agregue brillos un poco mas firmes y sin difuminar demasiado; después para el cabello no me complique mucho, lo que hice fue tratar de plasmas un pelo super liso, con un buen flequillo en la parte de la frente y con mechones muy largos y sin tanto efecto, todo hacia atrás de la espalda.
I finished painting the claws on Lizz Cat's hands with a reddish color a little warmer than the suit and of course I tried to make the claws have a quite pronounced length since this character uses them for climbing and hunting; then for the background I decided to paint something quite dark and gloomy, something like a sunset on the top of the Mountain (Wild), for this I applied a little gradient effect or gradient in the background to try to simulate a little the sunset. For the creation of the rocks on the top of the mountain where Lizz is perched I wanted to do something different, instead of painting it in a common brown tone, I decided that it would be better to use a mix of reddish, violet and Vinotinto tones to give a unique essence to the mountain; I did the relief work on the rocks with a lot of patience and creating the necessary amount of layers to try to make the mountain take that realistic look that I like so much, finally I added a couple of clouds around to give the impression that Lizz Cat is on the highest point of the mountain where only few would dream of reaching.
Termine un poco con el pintado de las garras en las manos de Lizz Cat con un color rojizo un poco más cálido que el del traje y por supuesto me esforcé para que las garras tuviesen un largo bastante pronunciado ya que este personaje las utiliza para escalar y para cazar; luego para el fondo me decidí por pintar algo bastante oscuro y lúgubre, algo así como un anochecer en la cima de la Montaña (Wild),para esto aplique un poco de efecto gradent o degradado en el fondo para tratar de simular un poco las puesta del sol. Para la creación de las rocas en la punta de la montaña donde se encuentra posada Lizz quise hacer algo diferente, en lugar de pintarla de una tonalidad marrón común, decidí que mejor seria una mezcla de tonalidades rojizas, violetas y Vinotinto para darle una esencia única a la montaña; en trabajo de relieve de las rocas lo hice con mucha paciencia y creando la cantidad de capas necesarias para tratar de que montaña tomara esa apariencia realista que tanto me gusta, por ultimo agregó un par de nubes alrededor para dar la impresión de que Lizz Cat esta en el punto mas alto de la montaña donde solo pocos soñaría con llegar.
