Carufir the Red Elf of the Irish Forest

Very good morning and happy Friday to all my dear readers, welcome once again to my blog, today I bring you a work that I call Carufir the red elf and it is about a beautiful young elf of the ancient forests of Ireland, which has great magical powers to control all kinds of wild creatures, she is even able to manipulate the biggest beasts that inhabit her forest, this is a work that took me a couple of days to finish and I really liked to have done it, and well I want to share it with you so you can appreciate a little of the process and I hope you like it:

Muy buen día y feliz viernes a todos mis queridos lectores, sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog, hoy les traigo una obra que llame Carufir la elfa roja y se trata de una hermosa joven elfa de los bosques antiguos de Irlanda, la cual posee grandes poderes mágicos para controlar a toda clase de criaturas salvajes, inclusive es capaz de manipular a las bestias más grandes que habitan en su bosque, esta es una obra que me tomo par de días culminar y me gusto mucho haberla realizado, y bueno quiero compartirla con ustedes para que aprecien un poco el proceso y espero les guste:

For this elf I wanted to use very colorful tones to give her a different touch, I used a medium skin color tending a little towards the light to give the appearance of a somewhat tanned skin, I was mixing light and dark skin tones to give volume to areas such as the nose, cheekbones, neck and other areas where you can see the skin.

Para esta elfa quise utilizar tonos muy coloridos para darle un toque diferente, utilice un color de piel medio tendiendo un poco hacia la luz que diera la apariencia a una piel algo bronceada, fui mezclando tonos claros y oscuros de piel para darle volumen a zonas como la nariz, pómulos, cuello y demás zonas donde se puede ver la piel.

The eyes from the beginning I had the idea of painting them in the same tone as I did the hair, I spent a long time trying warm colors until I got the desired one, then I continued adding details to the eyes internally, I painted the iris fibers one by one and I was mixing and painting them several times to achieve a good result.

Los ojos desde un principio tuve la idea de pintarlos de un tono igual como hiciera el cabello, estuve un buen rato probando colores cálidos hasta lograr el deseado, luego proseguí agregando detalles a los ojo internamente, pinte las fibras del iris una por una e iba mezclándolas y pintándolas varias veces para lograr un buen resultado.

As I said before for the eyes and the hair I had similar ideas and that's why I used very similar colors for both, in the case of the hair I wanted to use a little lighter and brighter shades to make it stand out a little more, I painted a first base and then I added relief with many strands, both in light and much darker shades to give more depth to the hair.

Como dije anteriormente para los ojos y el cabello tenía ideas parecidas y por eso utilice colores muy parecidos para ambos, en el caso del cabello quise usar tonalidades un poco más claras y brillantes para que resaltara un poco más, pinte una primera base y luego fui añadiendo relieve con muchos mechones, tanto en tonalidades claras como mucho más oscuras para dar mayor profundidad al pelo.

I tried with many of my brushes until I got the effect I wanted to paint the trees and especially the leaves the way I wanted, and to complement it a little more at the end I added some more layers of lights and shadows.

Llegamos a la parte del fondo que fue donde tuve un poco mas de dificultades y donde más me demore, pues probé con muchos de mis pinceles hasta conseguí el efecto que quería para lograr pintar los arboles y sobre todo las hojas de la forma en que quería, y para complementarlo un poco más al final añadí algunas capas de luces y sombras mas.
