Very good morning to all my dear readers, I hope you are very well and are welcome once again to my art blog, today I come with a Christmas style work that I had promised since last week, because of the celebration of these dates and that I had to make small trips did not give me a chance to finish it last week, and therefore I want to share it with you today already finished, it is a little Christmas elf called Bekthorbe which is responsible for helping Santa Claus or Santa Claus when loading his sleigh to go to deliver gifts on Christmas Eve:

Muy buen día tengan todos mis queridísimos lectores, espero que se encuentres súper bien y sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog de arte, el día de hoy vengo con una obra al estilo navideño que les había prometidos desde la semana pasada, a causa de la celebración de estas fechas y de que he tenido que hacer pequeños viajes no me dio oportunidad de terminarla la semana pasada, y por ello la quiero compartir hoy con ustedes ya terminada, se trata de un pequeño duende navideño llamado Bekthorbe el cual se encarga de ayudar a Santa Claus o Papa Noel a la hora de cargar su trineo para ir a entregar los regalos en noche buena:

The idea was to create one of the elves that helps Santa, but with an average build, not too thin, but not too chubby either. I created several primary sketches until I got one that I really liked, then I started to apply the colors to my drawing and for that I used my personal color palette with quite saturated tones.

Iniciar el bocetado de mi obra no fue lo más difícil que haya hecho, pero aun así me tome mi tiempo para tratar de crearlo lo mejor posible, la idea era la de crear a uno de los duendes que ayuda a Santa, pero con una contextura media, ni tan delgado, pero tampoco regordete. Fui creando varios bocetos primarios hasta que logre uno que me gustó mucho, allí si comencé a aplicar los colores a mi dibujo y para ello use mi paleta de colores personal con tonos bastante saturados.

After achieving an acceptable appearance for the skin and after having created the volume the next thing I had to do was to paint the hair for which I used shades of bright yellow to try to create some more or less golden curls. Then I continued with the painting of the clothing, I must admit that here if I took a little time because the first shades of green that I applied I did not like much because I thought it gave more the appearance of Peter Pan than a Christmas elf hahahahahaha, but well I tried several shades and I had to make some adjustments until I managed to create a Christmas elf costume as I had thought at first.

Luego de lograr una apariencia aceptable para la piel y luego de haber creado el volumen lo siguiente que me quedaba por hacer era el pintado del cabello para el cual use tonos de amarillo brillante para tratar de crear unos risos más o menos dorados. Luego proseguí con el pintado de la vestimenta, debo reconocer que aquí si me demore un poco pues los primeros tonos de verde que aplique no me gustaron mucho pues me parecía que daba más la apariencia a Peter Pan que a la de un duende navideño jajajajaja, pero bueno probé varios tonos y tuve que hacer algunos ajustes hasta que logre crear un traje de duende Navideño como tenía pensado en un principio.

The next step was to give small details to the suit to make it look a little more with the Christmas theme, so I added several shades of red in the neck, sleeves of the arms, in addition to the belt and the lines of red and white at the bottom of the suit. After all this the next step was to create the Christmas bag where our Elf keeps the gifts which Santa Claus will be in charge of distributing to the good children, for this I used many shades of gray to give shape to the bag and above all something old texture.

Lo siguiente fue darle pequeños detalles al traje que lo hicieran ver un poco más con la temática de navidad, por ello agregue varios tonos de rojo en el cuello, mangas de los brazos, además del cinturón y las líneas de rojo y blanco la parte baja del traje. Luego de todo esto el siguiente paso fue el de crear la bolsa navideña donde nuestro Duende guarda los regalos los cuales Santa Claus se encargará de repartir a los niños buenos, para esto use muchos tonos de gris para darle forma a la bolsa y sobretodo textura algo antigua.

Finally what I did was to create a good scenery for my work and I could not think of anything better than to create an open and cold night in which the elf was about to get on the sleigh to deliver to Santa one of the big bags full of toys, first I used a dark and deep blue tone for the cold night, then with diffuse brushes I created the clouds and finally the star that would cover the Christmas night; then some final shines finished giving that final touch to my work.

Ya finalmente lo que hice fue crear un buen escenario para mi obra y no se me ocurría nada mejor que el de crear una noche abierta y fría en la cual el duende se encontrara a punto de subir al trineo para entregar a Santa una de las grandes bolsas llenas de juguetes, primero usé un tono azul oscuro y profundo para la noche fría, luego con pinceles difusos fui creando las nubes y por ultimo las estrella que cubrirían la noche navideña; después algunos brillos finales terminaron de darle ese toque final a mi obra.
