Ammy, The Countess of Red Vengeance.
Hello my dear readers and I hope you are very very well, happy new year to all who read me here, and yes I know it's been a week since the new year, but as I was on a little vacation away from home I had not had the opportunity to publish until now, these were a vacation that fell great and I arrived for this new year with full batteries recharged, with new ideas and new drawings to share with you who always support my work. Today I want to share with you a work which I decided to title Ammy, The Countess of Red Vengeance, Ammy is an ancient and powerful countess belonging to a long dynasty of Vampires that have existed since the origin of time and civilization; Several decades ago her beloved husband fell in love and betrayed her with a young mortal with whom he would end up running away, and from that moment Ammy formed a deep resentment and that is why she developed the habit of only consuming the blood of young and beautiful women, this because she could never overcome the betrayal of her beloved:
Hola mis queridísimos lectores y espero se encuentren muy muy bien, feliz año Nuevo para todos los que por aquí me leen, y si lo sé qué hace ya una semana que es año nuevo, pero como me encontraba en unas pequeñas vacaciones lejos de mi casa no había tenido la oportunidad de publicar hasta ahora, estas fueron una vacaciones que me cayeron genial y llegue para este año nuevo con las pilas full recargadas, con nuevas ideas y nuevos dibujos para compartir con ustedes que siempre apoyan mi trabajo. El día de hoy les quiero compartir una obra a la cual decidí titular Ammy, La Condesa de la Venganza Roja, Ammy es una antigua y poderosa condesa perteneciente a una larga dinastía de Vampiros que han existido desde el origen de los tiempos y de la civilización; varias décadas atrás su amado esposo se enamoró y la traiciono con una joven mortal con la cual terminaría huyendo, y desde ese momento Ammy formo un profundo rencor y es por ello que desarrollo la costumbre de solo consumir sangre de mujeres jóvenes y bellas, esto debido a que jamás pudo superar la traición de su amado:
PROCESS / PROCESO
For the sketch I spent a long time looking at references of poses and body structures, especially from my old works to try to do something a little different from what I usually draw, I went stroke by stroke building my idea until I was finally satisfied with the primary sketch I got. Then I continued with the colors for my work where I also tried to use colors a little different from those of my last works, as it was a Vampiress I wanted to use not so bright tones for the base of the skin and that way it would be easier to place stronger colors in the upper layers and thus build a better structure, especially when it comes to giving volume.
Para el boceto estuve un buen rato viendo referencias de poses y estructuras corporales, sobretodo de mis antiguas obras para tratar de hacer algo un poco diferente a lo que acostumbre a dibujar, fui trazo a trazo construyendo mi idea hasta que finalmente quede satisfecho con el boceto primario que conseguí. Luego continúe con los colores para mi obra donde también trate de usar colores un poco diferentes a los de mis últimas obras, como se trataba de una Vampiresa pues quise usar tonos no tan brillantes para la base de la piel y que así se me facilitara colocar colores más fuertes en las capas superiores y así irle construyendo una mejor estructura, sobre todo a la hora de darle volumen.
Then I continued with the volume of Ammy's skin for which I used diffuse and somewhat opaque brushes to achieve a good softness of texture; Once finished the base of all the skin with their respective textures the following was to give more shape and life to the character of the Countess and for this I went layer by layer building the eyes with various shades of scarlet red, then continue with the lips to make them look more voluptuous and for this I used various shades to achieve some relief, and finally in this section I created a couple of layers of lights and shadows to achieve the final finish in the volume of these areas.
Luego continúe con el volumen de la piel de Ammy para lo que utilice pinceles difusos y algo opacos para lograr una buena suavidad de textura; una vez terminado la base de toda la piel con sus respectivas texturas lo siguiente fue darla mayor forma y vida al personaje de la Condesa y para ello fui capa por capa construyendo los ojos con varios tonos de rojo escarlata, luego continúe con los labios de modo de hacerlos ver más voluptuosos y para ello use varios tonos para lograr un poco de relieve, ya por ultimo en este apartado cree un par de capas de luces y sombras para lograr el ultimo acabado en el volumen de estas zonas.
For the dress I had it clear from the beginning and I wanted to make a kind of dress quite sensual and at the same time elegant; for this I used a medium soft red tone and taking advantage that the body had already given volume and shape at a general level, what I did was to create a new layer with the bloody red color and applied the multiply effect so that the red tone would fit the skin perfectly to the body and in this way the dress would look better, more natural and realistic. After finishing with the dress I continued with the hair painting and this time I chose to paint them with a medium brown tone with the intention of taking it a little bit to the lighter and brighter tones with more specific and dedicated brushes to paint hair.
Para la vestimenta lo tenía claro desde un principio y quería hacer una especie de vestido bastante sensual y a la vez elegante; para ello use un tono de rojo medio suave y aprovechando que ya el cuerpo le había dado volumen y forma a nivel general pues lo que hice fue crear una nueva capa con el color rojo sangriento y aplique el efecto multiplicar para que el tono rojo se acoplara a la piel perfectamente al cuerpo y de este modo se viera mejor, más natural y realista la vestimenta. Luego de terminar con el vestido proseguí con el pintado del cabello y esta vez opté por pintarlos con un tono de marrón un poco medio con la intención de llevarlo un poco a los tonos más claros y brillantes con pinceles más específicos y dedicados para pintar cabello.
Finally, I came up with the idea of creating a nice bloody style background to give a little more sense to my work, first I created some walls with some blood stains scattered in the background, then I painted a kind of oval in light brown tone to build the chair in which Ammy is sitting, for this I used several thin brushes with contoured tip. Finally to give a last touch to the background I came up with the idea of painting a kind of web or spider web in a similar tone to the original and for this I used a new brush that I had never tried that is shaped like a vase, but when used several times on itself in several layers you get an effect like a spider web or like a forest web as you will see below.
Por último, se me vino la idea de crear un buen fondo estilo sangriento para darlo un poco más de sentido a mi obra, primero cree unas paredes como con algunas manchas de sangre esparcidas en el fondo, luego pinte una especie de ovalo en tono marrón claro para ir construyendo la silla en la cual se encuentra sentada Ammy, para esto use varios pinceles delgados y con punta contorneada. Ya finalmente para darle un último toque al fondo se me ocurrió la idea de pintar una especie de entramado o telaraña en tonalidad similar a la original y para esto use un nuevo pincel que nunca había probado que tiene forma como de vasija, pero cuando se utiliza varias veces sobre sí mismo en varias capas se logra un efecto como de telaraña o como de entramado de bosque como el que verán a continuación.
